NBA DFS Advice for March 1, 2022

Luca Doncic DFS

We have six games to break down for NBA DFS tonight, as this one has a lot of moving parts. As of now, we have multiple key questionable tags, as the status of guys like Fred VanVleet and Kevin Porter Jr. will define where our interests lie tonight. We are going to like getting back to the Warriors either way, where some guys look good with Klay Thompson out. We also really like the Washington Wizards, who are low on options right now.

Here’s Two Core Plays For DFS Basketball 3/1/22 (using DraftKings Values)

Point GuardL. Doncic $12,000
Shooting Guard
Small Forward
Power Forward
CenterD. Gafford
Guard
Forward
Utility

Luka Doncic has been fantastic for the Mavericks this season, and he stands out ahead of anyone else that we can get to tonight. Doncic has been taking more shots than any other player in the league over the past month or so, as he has been taking 33-35 shot attempts on some nights. Doncic has the best upside on the slate, and we have more than enough budget options elsewhere to get to his $12,000 salary.

The Washington Wizards have started Daniel Gafford at center for both games since the all-star break, and he has been productive with solid minutes. He has scored 30.5 and 24.25 FPTS respectively in the two games. It is surprising that Gafford is still only $3,600, but this price makes him a lock for value. If Gafford continues to start tonight, he will be a core plays for us to save salary with.

Here’s a Fade DFS Basketball 3/1/22 (using DraftKings Values)

The price has been rising on Karl-Anthony Towns lately, which is surprising as his production has not been. Towns has gone under 40 FPTS in back-to-back games, which would have sank any lineups where he is priced. $10,100 is too much to pay for Towns, especially on a slate with great options elsewhere.

Here Is What Your Get If You Subscribe For $15 Per Month or $99 For The Year…
• A cheap guard who is a lock if VanVleet remains out.
• One potential priority from the Rockets
.• A budget forward who is playing massive minutes.• A stud center with a great matchup.

Point Guard

Malachi Flynn – ($3,100 DK) With VanVleet out for the Raptors last night, Flynn received his first starting nod of the season. He ended up scoring 36 FPTS in 33.4 minutes, as he was out of the best plays on the slate at $3,000. We do not know if VanVleet is going to play tonight. We are going to pass on Flynn if he plays, but if VanVleet is out again Flynn becomes a lock if he starts. He is only this cheap because Toronto played last night, and we must expect him to see a lot of run if he starts.

Shooting Guard

Dennis Schroder – ($5,900 DK) We are waiting on some huge news from Houston, as we do not know if Porter Jr. will be available tonight or not. If Porter sits again, we are happy getting back to these Houston guards. Schroder has been incredibly productive in opportunities without Porter, as he went for 37.5 FPTS last game.

Small Forward

Corey Kispert – ($4,200 DK) Kispert is consistently playing over 30 minutes every game for the Washington Wizards right now, and although he is not the best per-minute producer we love getting minutes for this cheap. Kispert has not been shooting very well and is averaging 20.4 FPTS over the past ten days, and he has an easy matchup against the Pistons tonight. The Wizards look good for value here, and we will lean on them a lot if Porter and VanVleet both play.

Power Forward

Rui Hachimura – ($3,400 DK) Hachimura has been showing flashes of upside lately, and he is getting very cheap here. Hachimura obviously has a low floor, but we don’t need too much from him at this price. He has some solid upside, and there is room for him to start doing a lot more for this Wizards squad.

Center

Pascal Siakam – ($8,900 DK) Our priority at center tonight is Gafford, but Siakam also fits at the power forward. He has a ton of upside in this matchup against the Nets, so we are fine getting to him even if FVV plays. However, if VanVleet sits Siakam will become an absolute priority for us to spend up to.

General strategy

As we have mentioned this slate is going to be all about what happens with these key questionable tags. The Raptors become one of our favorite sources of value tonight if VanVleet sits, Flynn, Siakam, Gary Trent, and Precious Achiuwa will all look good. For the Rockets, we will be getting to Schroder, Jalen Green, and Eric Gordon if Porter remains out. Good luck tonight and keep an eye on all the news.
