NBA DFS Advice for January 30, 2022

Luka Doncic DFS

We have five games to break down for NBA DFS tonight, and there is a lot going on with this one. One priority for value here is going to be the Dallas Mavericks, as they are without Kristaps Porzingis and Tim Hardaway. The other team we will be all over tonight is the San Antonio Spurs, as their top three guys are all out in Dejounte Murray, Derrick White, and Jakob Poeltl. There is a ton of cheap value between those two squads, so we are looking at more of a stars and scrubs lineup here.

Here’s Two Core Plays For DFS Basketball 1/30/22 (using DraftKings Values)

Point GuardL. Doncic $11,200
Shooting Guard
Small ForwardL. Walker IV $3,400
Power Forward
Center
Guard
Forward
Utility

We have a lot of fantastic budget options tonight, so there is going to be a lot of spare salary to spend on superstars. Our number one priority as a spend-up option tonight is Luka Doncic. Doncic is always one of the best DFS performers in the NBA, and we are expecting him to do a little bit more with Porzingis off the floor. Doncic crushed with 64.5 FPTS per game last time out, and he would have played a bit more if the Pacers were able to keep things close.

The San Antonio Spurs look perfect for DFS value tonight, as there is going to be a ton of usage and minutes left on the table. Murray and White are the two dominant offensive players here, so there is a huge opportunity for any other perimeter guys while they are out. Lonnie Walker IV is one of our favorite plays on this slate, as he is already too cheap at $3,400. He is going to start and should see a ton of usage tonight, so he is a true no-brainer at this price point.

Here’s a Fade DFS Basketball 1/30/22 (using DraftKings Values)

We have a lot of spare salary tonight, but there are quite a few stars we want to get some exposure to. One guy who is going to be a pass for us tonight is Karl-Anthony Towns. Towns has been showing some upside lately, but he has a tough matchup against Utah tonight. Furthermore, we have Doncic and a few other superstars who we would prefer to include.

Point Guard

Cole Anthony – ($6,600 DK) Anthony is getting very cheap here, and we know he always has the upside to go for a huge night. He went for 33 FPTS in the last game despite shooting four of fifteen from the floor, and he exploded for 52.5 FPTS in the game before that. Anthony is the clear first option for Orlando, so he is a priority for us whenever he is under $7,000.

Shooting Guard

Reggie Bullock – ($3,600 DK) Bullock is a priority for us from the Dallas Mavericks, as there is room for him to be shooting it a lot more without Hardaway or Porzingis. Bullock has scored 24 and 31.75 FPTS respectively in the past two games, as he has had to play more minutes and take more shots. He is still very cheap here, so he offers a nice floor as a budget option.

Small Forward

Devin Vassell  ($4,100 DK) Most of our absolute favorite options for value tonight come from San Antonio, as their players will have to take on the biggest boost in usage and floor time. Vassell has already been productive as of late, averaging 25.6 FPTS over the past ten days. We know he is in for a massive opportunity tonight, so there is nothing bad we can say about him at this price. The Suns are great defensively, but that is not going to deter us from the massive amount of value presented by the Spurs.

Power Forward

Keldon Johnson – ($5,400 DK) It is hard to go wrong if you are getting to one of the regular rotation guys from San Antonio. Johnson has already been a priority for us as he has been too cheap for a few games. He has been great lately, going well over 30 FPTS in two straight outings. We would be writing about Johnson here if every Spur was healthy, so he is a lock with all the injuries.

Center

Maxi Kleber – ($3,700 DK) Kleber is usually in for a bigger role whenever Porzingis is off the floor, as we saw him crush with 39 FPTS in the last one. He has already been productive for this price point, so he looks tremendous with Porzingis getting hurt ten minutes into the last contest. He has been playing a ton of center minutes for Dallas, and it is reflecting in his DFS production. We have a lot of options for value tonight, but we will be getting to a ton of $3,700 Kleber.

General strategy

As we just alluded to, there are a ton of cheap priorities we must choose between tonight. Our absolute favorite budget options here are Walker, Vassell, Kleber, and Johnson. Our core for Cash games tonight will be those four alongside Doncic and Nikola Jokic. We will get to all those guys for tournaments, but we are happy getting to less obvious options like Bullock and Joshua Primo. We are eager to see who the Spurs start tonight, so keep an eye out for that and any other significant news that breaks.
