After three or four massive slates in a row, there is a little bit of shell shock when first approaching tonight’s two-gamer. We are used to having a ton of value and more priorities than we know what to do with. It is going to be a lot tougher to find salary savings here, as the enticing plays on the slate are very limited. Our favorite team to get to tonight is the Philadelphia 76ers, as most of the injuries on this slate are coming from them.

The toughest thing about this slate is going to be finding solid budget options. We have grown accustomed to having fantastic plays at every single price point, but that is not going to be the case. Due to the lack of other options, Furkan Korkmaz is a lock here to save a bit of salary. He has been playing a ton of minutes with Seth Curry and Shake Milton sidelined for the Sixers, with at least 37 minutes played in each of the past three. Korkmaz is yet to show crazy upside in this stretch, but we know it is there. With a slate like this, we don’t have much choice but to go too unproductive players with big minutes for our value options.
Joel Embiid has been a priority for us for each for the past three slates, as he has had to take on some massive usage with Curry and Milton out. He has absolutely crushed every game we have gone to him, with totals of 73.5, 65.5, 67.75, and 77 FPTS in the past four games respectively. He has shot well over 20 attempts in each of the last four, including a 32-attempt outing a few games ago. Embiid is in position for another big game against the Lakers,
Here’s a Fade DFS Basketball 1/27/22 (using DraftKings Values)
The Price is coming down on Russell Westbrook, but he is still way too expensive at $8,500 for the level of production he has been showing. He is only averaging 35.8 FPTS over the past ten days, and there is a lot less upside for him to take over with Anthony Davis returning to the rotation.
Here Is What Your Get If You Subscribe For $15 Per Month or $99 For The Year…
• Our favorite option under $4,000 tonight.
• A superstar guard with massive upside.
• More priorities from the Sixers.
• Another stud center we really like with the lack of options here.
Point Guard
Steph Curry – ($10,300 DK) Curry is a fade more often than a priority for us this season, as he has been generally overpriced for his production. In a vacuum, Curry is still a little too expensive tonight at $10,300. However, Curry is one of the few superstars on this slate. If he does show his 60 FPT upside tonight, he could easily be a guy you NEED to have in order to win big.
Shooting Guard
Klay Thompson – ($5,300 DK) Thompson is as cheap as he is ever going to be, and his minutes are gradually moving in the right direction. We saw him play a season-high 26 minutes last game, and it seems there is potential for more if things stay closer. He was solid with 27.5 FPTS last game, and his production will go up as he completes his recovery.
Matisse Thybulle – ($3,600 DK) We seldom prioritize Thybulle for DFS, because he is one of the worst per minute producers in the NBA. However, we are very desperate for value tonight, and Thybulle is one of our favorite options. We know he is going to play well over 30 minutes with a few guys off the floor, and he is only $3,600. All we need is 20 FPTS here for Thybulle to be a great fit in our lineup.
Tobias Harris – ($7,300 DK) Most of our favorite play’s tonight are coming out of Philly. With that said, Harris still stands above the crowd at this ridiculous $7,300 price tag. He has gone over 40 FPTS in each of the past three games, as he has had more responsibilities with a few guys sidelined. He exploded last game with over 57 FPTS, so it is a bit of a shock to see he has been priced down for tonight.
Karl-Anthony Towns – ($9,200 DK) $9,200 is a fair price to pay for Towns, as he is averaging 46 FPTS on the season. He is a good upside guy, as he can combine a big scoring night with rebounds. On a bigger slate Towns would be a mediocre play, but he is a priority here given our lack of options. A big Towns night would make him a winning play like Curry.
General strategy
This is the toughest NBA DFS slate we have come across in a few weeks. We are used to handling an overwhelming amount of value, while tonight it is tough to even find guys we can save salary with. We are going to be getting to a ton of Philly as things stand right now, as they offer far more value than the other three teams, keep an eye on the news here as ANYONE getting ruled out would be huge.
