NBA DFS Advice for January 26, 2022

Kyrie Irving James Harden
LOS ANGELES, CA - FEBRUARY 21: Brooklyn Nets Guard James Harden (13) and Guard Kyrie Irving (11) give high fives in the final minute of a NBA game between the Brooklyn Nets and the Los Angeles Clippers on February 21, 2021 at STAPLES Center in Los Angeles, CA. The game was played without fans due to the COVID-19 pandemic. (Photo by Brian Rothmuller/Icon Sportswire)

We are following up last night’s nine-game slate with an even bigger ten-gamer. There are a few big back-to-backs here, so some of our favorite plays were also priorities for us with the injuries last night. We love getting to Brooklyn again as they will remain without Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant for another home game. After the Nets, our interest is fairly spread out as there are lots of places to find value with ten games.

Here’s Two Core Plays For DFS Basketball 1/26/22 (using DraftKings Values)

Point GuardJ. Harden $11,500
Shooting Guard
Small ForwardP. Mills $4,900
Power Forward
Center
Guard
Forward
Utility

Our favorite spend-up option on tonight’s slate is James Harden as he must do everything offensively on the Nets when Irving and Durant are out. Harden is already at the top of the league in assists, but we can also count on some solid usage in this spot. He feasted against the Lakers last night, and we are expecting him to do the exact same thing to Denver tonight. We know Harden is one of the best upside guys in the NBA due to triple-doubles, and this is the perfect situation to see one of those nights.

Patty Mills was a core play for us last night, and he was slightly disappointing with 21 FPTS. However, he remains a priority tonight as he is too cheap for the Nets injury situation. Mills is only $4,900, and he is very easy to fit into lineups with PG/SF eligibility. Mills saw a big opportunity last time out, shooting the ball 14 times in 30 minutes. If he can put together a better shooting night here, he could show some huge upside for this price point.

Here’s a Fade DFS Basketball 1/26/22 (using DraftKings Values)

Julius Randle was our fade the last time the Knicks played, and he ended up with a subpar 37.8 FPT performance. Randle remains too expensive for his general production at $9,500, as he is only averaging 41.5 FPTS per game on the season. Furthermore, Randle has another tough matchup tonight against the Miami Heat. With some great places to put our salary tonight, Randle is an easy fade once again.

Point Guard

CJ McCollum – ($7,300 DK) McCollum dealt with a collapsed lung earlier this season, but thankfully he has been making a healthy recovery. His minutes were limited in the first two of his four games back, but he has played solid run in the last two. He has been taking a lot of usage, which is expected with Damian Lillard off the floor. He scored 45 FPTS in the last game and 41.75 FPTS in the game before, so he is a priority for us at only $7,300.

Shooting Guard

Jalen Suggs – ($5,800 DK) Suggs was one of our favorite plays last time out as he has been playing a huge role for the Magic. He put up another big game for us with 37.25 FPTS in 33 minutes. At this point, he has scored well over 30 FPTS in over 30 minutes in each of the past three games. He remains too cheap for the role that he has been playing, so we are going to get to him a lot here.

Small Forward

De’Andre Hunter   ($5,500 DK) We are waiting on some key news for Hunter here, as he is currently listed as questionable with lower back discomfort. However, we like getting to him if he ends up playing. Hunter has been a priority for us a lot lately, as he has been on a very productive stretch since the departure of Cam Reddish. Hunter has gone over 30 FPTS in four straight games, as he has been consistently playing around 35 minutes.

Power Forward

DeMar DeRozan – ($8,200 DK) DeRozan is $700 cheaper than he was for the last slate, as the Bulls just got Zach Lavine back. We still expect there to be a massive role for DeRozan here, as Lavine may be limited, and the Bulls are still without Lonzo Ball. DeRozan scored 54.25 FPTS in the last game he played, and he has scored over 45 FPTS in three straight games.

Center

Pascal Siakam – ($8,900 DK) The Toronto Raptors were without Fred VanVleet and Scottie Barnes last time out, which meant the remaining Raptors had a lot of weight on their shoulders. We saw Siakam dominate with 55.5 FPTS last time out, and he is an absolute priority if VanVleet is out again tonight. If Barnes and VanVleet play, Siakam will only be more of a tournament option for us. The Raptors news is huge here, as we will want a lot from that team if both Barnes and VanVleet remain out.

General strategy

We are waiting on a ton of news for this slate, as a lot of value could open with some questionable tags. We are eagerly waiting to learn if the Raptors will be shorthanded again. Siakam, Gary Trent, Precious Achiuwa, and OG Anunoby are all priorities if both big names sit. Another key piece of news we are waiting on is De’Aaron Fox, as the Kings will look great if he sits. We know Tyrese Haliburton and Terence Davis have huge upside when Fox is off the floor. Good luck tonight and keep an eye on the news here. We are expecting to hear a lot before lock.
