We have another five-game NBA slate to break down tonight, as this slate is looking a lot tougher than the one we faced last night. This slate does not have too many injuries, which means we won’t have the crazy value that we have been used to. Another challenge we must overcome on this slate is that we have a ton of questionable tags, so we are waiting to hear what some of these teams are going to look like.
Here’s Two Core Plays For DFS Basketball 2/6/22 (using DraftKings Values)

Small Forward | |||
Power Forward | K. Love | $7,200 | |
Center | |||
Guard | |||

Utility |
There is not too much going on at the very top of tonight’s slate, and our clear favorite option to spend up for is Luka Doncic. The Wonder boy has been amazing lately, scoring over 70 FPTS in each of the past three games. Doncic went for 79.25 FPTS last game, on the back of a huge triple-double. Doncic has a nice matchup against the Hawks tonight, and he should continue taking high usage with Kristaps Porzingis sidelined.
The questionable tags are really at the forefront of this slate, so our picks will be a solid mix of guys that look great now and potential priorities if some guys end up out. Darius Garland has missed the past three games, and he is questionable for tonight. A few Cavs have had to do a lot in his absence, so there is a lot to like from this team if he ends up out again. Kevin Love will remain a priority for us, as he went over 40 FPTS in every game without Garland. His usage has been gigantic, and he is too cheap for the role he has been playing.
Here’s a Fade DFS Basketball 2/6/22 (using DraftKings Values)
Jayson Tatum is rocking the same $10,600 price tag for the fourth straight game here, which is a bit surprising as he has no business being this expensive. Tatum has been an awful play in each of the last three games he was this expensive, as he fell short of 45 FPTS in every one of them. Tatum needs to hit his ceiling to give us what we need here, and we have much safer spend-up options elsewhere.
Here Is What Your Get If You Subscribe For $15 Per Month or $99 For The Year…
• A stud guard who is way too cheap if he plays.
• One budget priority from Dallas.
• A cheap wing who has been on fire lately.
• The rest of our potential priorities based on questionable tags.
Point Guard
Kevin Porter Jr. – ($5,700 DK) We just got the news that Porter is questionable for tonight’s game, so we must listen for how that develops. However, we really like Porter if he can play given this price. Porter is averaging 29.7 FPTS per game, and his upside merits a higher price tag relative to his season average. Porter is about $1,000 cheaper than we expect him here, so he offers a ton of value if he can play.
Shooting Guard
Reggie Bullock – ($4,800 DK) We have been getting to Bullock a lot lately, as he has been doing a lot with Porzingis and Tim Hardaway Jr. sidelined. Bullock has played over 30 minutes in three straight games, and he has hit at least 5x value in each of the past four games. He is taking a lot of usage in this role, so we still really like him at this price.
Bogdan Bogdanovic – ($5,500 DK) Bogdanovic has been priced up a bit here, but he has been great lately. Bogdanovic was closer to $7,000 last year, and he has been gradually approaching that level of production. He went for 41 FPTS in the last one, as he is averaging over 31 FPTS across the past ten days. He is consistently playing big minutes with nice usage every game here, so we are happy paying the increased tag on him.
Terry Taylor – ($5,500 DK) The Indiana Pacers are tough to deal with here, as a few of their top options are currently questionable. We do not know what their frontcourt will look like with Domantas Sabonis and Goga Bitadze out here, but we know Taylor is a lock for us if they both remain out. Taylor has been doing everything for this gutted squad lately, scoring 52 and 46.5 FPTS respectively in his past two games.
Evan Mobley – ($7,600 DK) If Garland can play tonight, we are not going to get to much from the Cavs with how everyone is priced. However, we like getting back to Mobley if Garland remains out. Mobley has had the ball in his hands a lot with Garland out, and his usage has been fantastic. He only went for 28.5 FPTS last game due to poor shooting, but he went for 48.5 FPTS in the game before that. The Cavs have an easy matchup against Indiana here, so we are betting on seeing some upside from Mobley.
General strategy
These slates can be tough as we are waiting on so much news, but what is good here is most of the questionable tags are in the early games. The Pacers and Cavaliers have the best potential for value tonight if their studs end up out. A good strategy here is to make one or two possible lineups and then just make the necessary changes as we approach lock.
