There are nine NBA games for us to break down here, and there is a lot that we need to talk about for this one. A few teams are dealing with tons of injuries right now, so those will be our priorities for value tonight. The Cleveland Cavaliers, Oklahoma City Thunder, and Indiana Pacers are all without their first option. This is going to be another stars and scrubs night for us, as a few of our priorities are cheap enough that they will save us the salary to go for studs elsewhere.

Here’s Two Core Plays For DFS Basketball 2/4/22 (using DraftKings Values)

Point Guard
Shooting GuardT. Mann $4,200
Small Forward
Power ForwardE. Mobley $7,600
Center
Guard
Forward
Utility

The Oklahoma City Thunder are without their number one guy in Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, and now another guard is out for them in Aaron Wiggins. Tre Mann is one of our favorite options for cheap value here, as we expect him to have a massive role here. He played 41 minutes in the last game, and the Thunder had more options with Wiggins available. Mann exploded for 39.5 FPTS last game, and his upside is fantastic coming into this one.

Our favorite team on this slate is the Cleveland Cavaliers, as no one has been priced up despite the absence of Darius Garland. Garland always has the ball in his hand when he plays, so with him out there is a ton of opportunity for everyone else to step up. Evan Mobley is another one of the Cavs top dogs, and he took on a huge role without Garland in the last game. We saw Mobley put up 20 shot attempts last game, as he went for 48.5 FPTS. With another great matchup against Charlotte tonight, we are happy spending the $7,600 to roster Mobley.

Here’s a Fade DFS Basketball 2/3/22 (using DraftKings Values)

We really liked spending up for Kyrie Irving when Kevin Durant first went down, as we knew his usage would be on the rise. However, Irving’s price has risen significantly from the new role. He is all the way up to $10,300 here, which is too expensive for how he has been producing. Irving is only averaging 39.9 FPTS over the past ten days, so at this price, we need a big night just to get mediocre value.

Here Is What Your Get If You Subscribe For $15 Per Month or $99 For The Year…
• A budget guard who is stepping into the starting unit.
• One stud we really like from the Oklahoma City Thunder.
• A budget center who we expect to see a solid boost tonight.
• Our potential priorities if Dejounte Murray sits for San Antonio.

Point Guard

Brandon Goodwin – ($4,100 DK) Goodwin has been stepping into the starting lineup for Garland, as he has played 27 and 32 minutes respectively in the last two games. He scored 25.75 FPTS in the first starting nod, and 29.75 FPTS last time out. Given the minutes that Goodwin is playing at point guard, it should be easy for him to continue hitting value here. Furthermore, we know that he has some solid upside for this price point.

Shooting Guard

Lonnie Walker IV – ($4,100 DKDejounte Murray was out last night for the Spurs, and we do not know if he will be good to go tonight or not. If Murray plays, we are not interested in this team as we have so much value elsewhere. However, there is a lot to like out of the Spurs if Murray remains out. We saw these guys get crushed by the Heat without Murray last night, but they have a dream matchup here against the Rockets. Walker is among our favorite Spurs, as we know he has a ton of upside when Murray is sidelined.

Small Forward

Luguentz Dort  ($6,400 DK) Dort is more expensive than we are accustomed to seeing him here, but his usage and production without SGA merit the price. Dort has scored 47.5, 35.5, and 46.5 FPTS respectively across the past three games, as he always must take a ton of shots when Gilgeous-Alexander is out. The Thunder have a nice matchup against Portland here, so we are betting on another nice night from Dort.

Power Forward

Kevin Love – ($6,900 DK) Love is our favorite of many strong Cavs options tonight, as he is way too cheap for the level of production he has been showing. Love has scored over 40 FPTS in four of the past five games, and he went for over 45 FPTS on 20 shot attempts in the last one without Garland. We were a bit shocked to see Love had been priced down since his last game, so we are all over him for this one.

Center

Mamadi Diakite – ($3,000 DK) Diakite started at center for OKC in the last game, and our interest tonight is dependent upon his getting the start again here. If Diakite is to continue in the starting unit here, he offers some solid value at this $3,000 price tag. Diakite went for 18 FPTS last game, and he only landed on one of his five attempts from the field. There is room for him to be much more productive with this opportunity, so we have some interest.

General strategy

The main piece of news we are waiting on for this one is going to be what happens with Murray, as the Spurs are a totally different DFS team if he doesn’t play. Walker, Devin Vassell, Tre Jones, and Derrick White are all priorities for us if Murray ends up out again. It is also worth watching for any other news that could break tonight, as we usually see things get shaken up a bit when we have so many games.
