There is a lot to like on tonight’s seven-game NBA DFS slate. The Miami Heat are our favorite source of value right now, as a few guys stand to do a little extra with Kyle Lowry sidelined. We also like getting back to the Oklahoma City Thunder, who are still without Lu Dort and Josh Giddey. We are going with a more balanced lineup tonight, as a few of our priorities are in the $5,000 – $7,000 range.

The Brooklyn Nets are back on the road again, which means there is going to be a lot of extra usage on the table with no Kyrie Irving. The Nets guys all have a ton of upside, but they are all scoring dependent. Seth Curry is our priority from Brooklyn, as he has been consistently productive since joining this team. With Irving out, he is the best player they have, so he is a much better DFS producer then back in Philly.
Kyle Lowry is going to be sidelined for Miami tonight, which means someone must pick up some extra playmaking duties. The last time Lowry was out, we saw Jimmy Butler handle the ball a lot more, and it showed up in his assists. Butler has some great triple-double upside in this spot, and $8,900 is a solid price. Butler always has great upside, and a competitive matchup like the Bulls is the perfect place for him to show it.
Here’s a Fade DFS Basketball 2/28/22 (using DraftKings Values)
We are looking at more of a balanced build tonight, so we are only going to superstars that really stand out to us. One guy we will be passing on here is Karl-Anthony Towns who is too expensive at $9,800 for a tough matchup against Cleveland.
Here Is What Your Get If You Subscribe For $15 Per Month or $99 For The Year…
• A cheap guard who should be in for some extra run tonight.
• One guard who has been taking a massive role lately.
• Two forwards with a ton of upside.
• A key questionable tag we are waiting on.
Point Guard
Gabe Vincent – ($3,600 DK) We saw Vincent pick up some extra run the last time Lowry was out, and we know his price rose significantly. He looks great at $3,600 here, as there are a lot of ways for him to turn out some great value. We are eager to see who starts for Lowry, as Vincent looks fantastic if he gets the nod.
Shooting Guard
Tre Mann – ($5,400 DK) Mann has been great over the past few games for the Thunder, and with Giddey on the sideline last time he saw a massive opportunity. Mann has scored over 34 FPTS in four straight games, and 40 FPTS last game. Mann is playing a ton of minutes here, with usage that cannot be overlooked. He is too cheap for the role he is playing right now, as he has the upside to easily deliver more massive performances.
Anthony Edwards – ($7,000 DK) Edwards is always a nice DFS option, as his massive upside makes him the perfect target for GPPs. however, his price makes him really stand out tonight, as $7,000 is way too cheap to be getting Edwards. He is averaging 37.4 FPTS on the season, and as we mentioned he is a great upside guy. A big game from Edwards can lead to some huge lineups at this price.
Lauri Markkanen – ($6,000 DK) Markkanen has been great for the shorthanded Cavaliers in the two games since his return. He went for 34 FPTS in his first game and 36.5 FPTS last game, as he has been taking massive usage. The Cavs have an easy matchup against the Timberwolves tonight, so we are happy riding the hot hand in Markkanen here.
Precious Achiuwa – ($3,600 DK) Achiuwa was great last time out with over 37 FPTS, and his play may earn him the start tonight against the Nets. The Raptors are still without OG Anunoby here, so there will be more opportunity for the centers to crack the rotation. Achiuwa is cheap here, and we know he has good upside. If we find out he is going to start, he will be a value priority for us.
General strategy
This could be the night that Fred VanVleet finally sits, which would make the Raptors a priority for us with a great matchup. Gary Trent Jr. always shoots the ball a ton when VanVleet sits, so we will be happy going there. Pascal Siakam and Scottie Barnes would also both be great options. We also just found out that Darius Garland will remain out for the Cavs, so we are happy getting to Brandon Goodwin who should be in for a ton of minutes with no other PG options.
