There are only six games on tonight’s main slate, but there is still a lot to talk about here. We must mention the Toronto Raptors, as both Pascal Siakam and Fred VanVleet are questionable, with OG Anunoby already sidelined the Raptors threaten to be very thin tonight. We will prioritize talking about plays that look good with the news we have now, but we will get to a few potential priorities from Toronto.

Tyler Herro was a priority for us last night due to price, and he smashed with 44.25 FPTS. For tonight, Herro remains cheap, and he has a much easier matchup against San Antonio. The Spurs have become one of the fastest-paced teams in the NBA, so we are always looking to target them when possible. Herro has great upside as we saw last night, and this matchup is the perfect opportunity for him to stay hot.
Even if we find out that VanVleet and Siakam are both available for the Raptors tonight, Scottie Barnes is still going to be an absolute smash for us. Barnes is averaging 32.2 FPTS on the season, but he is only $5,600 tonight. He was great last night with 38.3 FPTS, as the Raptors needed him to do a lot with Anunoby sidelined.
Here’s a Fade DFS Basketball 2/26/22 (using DraftKings Values)
It has been an inconsistent season for Nikola Vucevic, but he has been generally overpriced for most of it. Vucevic is $9.600 here, which means he is totally priced for his upside. He is only averaging 43 FPTS on the season, and he has a low floor. Vucevic does have the potential for big games, but the upside is just not as enticing at this price point.
Here Is What Your Get If You Subscribe For $15 Per Month or $99 For The Year…
• A cheap guard who should take on a huge role tonight.
• A few locks with all the guys out from San Antonio.
• One cheap forward who has been great lately.
• Our favorite superstar to get to tonight.
Point Guard
Lonnie Walker IV – ($4,100 DK) As we are writing this, we just got the news that the San Antonio Spurs will be without Dejounte Murray, Jakob Poeltl, and Keldon Johnson tonight, their three most productive players. There is going to be a huge opportunity for all the younger Spurs tonight, as this will be our favorite team to get to on this slate. Walker was great last night as he went for 29 FPTS, and at this price, he would be a solid play with everyone healthy. He will start tonight, and we expect his usage to be fantastic.
Shooting Guard
Devin Vassell – ($5,100 DK) Vassell is another Spur who would look good here if everyone was healthy, so he is a lock with all the injuries. Vassell has gone over 30 FPTS in five of his past six outings, and that is with him sharing the ball with Murray and Johnson. Vassell will have to do a lot here, and we are not all turned off by the tough matchup.
Doug McDermott – ($4,200 DK) It is hard to go wrong with the Spurs guys tonight, as any core piece should be a lock for a massive opportunity. McDermott has a ton of upside from shooting, and we expect him to get up a ton of shots tonight. If they are falling, you are going to need him at this price.
Danilo Gallinari – ($5,100 DK) Gallinari crushed last time out, as he has been seeing some nice opportunities without John Collins. Gallinari does show a lot of variance in his production, so he is going to be more of a tournament option tonight. However, his upside is great, and with all this injury news we expect the ownership to be elsewhere for GPPs.
Giannis Antetokounmpo – ($11,800 DK) With the news that so many Spurs are sidelined, we are locking in a few cheap guys from San Antonio. We are going to have a lot of salary left on the table, so we can afford a superstar or two. Antetokounmpo is going to be our priority here, as he looks great with this matchup against the Nets.
General strategy
We are locked into the value from the Spurs tonight, as guys like Walker and Vassell are about as good plays as we get in DFS. We do want to talk about the Raptors here because if VanVleet and Siakam end up out they will look just as good as the Spurs. If one of them ends up out, we will get to a lot of the other, as well as Gary Trent JR. and Scottie Barnes. Good luck tonight, and make sure to watch for our key news.
