With the Football season concluded, now begins the hot stretch for NBA betting and DFS. We are ready to make some money, starting with tonight’s nine-game slate. There is a ton of value to go over here, as injuries continue to run rampant in the NBA. One team we love getting to tonight is the Brooklyn Nets, who are without their only healthy star Kyrie Irving for a home game against the Sacramento Kings.

Here’s Two Core Plays For DFS Basketball 2/14/22 (using DraftKings Values)

Point Guard
Shooting Guard
Small ForwardC. Thomas $5,700
Power Forward
CenterN. Jokic $12,200
Guard
Forward
Utility

The Brooklyn Nets are playing at home tonight, which means that Irving will not be available. We also know that Ben Simmons is still inactive, so they are running thin here. Cameron Thomas has been a beast over the past few weeks, as the Nets have been missing Kevin Durant and James Harden. We expect to see Thomas as the first option with the ball in his hands tonight, and we know his upside is great right now. He is averaging 35.8 FPTS over the past ten days and remains too cheap at $5,700.

There are a ton of great budget plays available tonight, so it is going to be easy for us to roster expensive superstars like Nikola Jokic. Jokic is the best DFS producer in the NBA bar none, so he is always someone we look at. A lot of the other stars are also expensive tonight, so Jokic is looking too cheap relative to the field. He is averaging over 60 FPTS on the season and has an easy matchup against Orlando tonight. We need huge raw FPTS from our spend-up options tonight, and we trust the Joker to deliver that.

Here’s a Fade DFS Basketball 2/14/22 (using DraftKings Values)

Domantas Sabonis went for 40.8 FPTS in his first game on the Kings, and he is too expensive for us tonight at $9,700. He took surprisingly low usage in his first game with only 9 attempts. The Kings have a lot of other scoring options, more than the injured Pacers team he has been playing with. There are tons of options tonight, so if a guy doesn’t stand out he will be a pass for us. `

Point Guard

Coby White – ($6,000 DK) The Chicago Bulls are thin tonight, as Zach Lavine has joined Lonzo Ball on the sideline. White will be in the starting unit here, and he has been playing tons of minutes in competitive games He was great in the last game without Lavine, scoring 38.25 FPTS in 37 minutes. The Bulls have a fantastic matchup against the Spurs here, so this is the perfect opportunity for White to show his upside.

Shooting Guard

Quentin Grimes – ($3,000 DK) The New York Knicks are missing a few key pieces, so Grimes has had to start the past two games and play over 30 minutes in each. Grimes went for 35.5 FPTS in the last game, so it is a bit of a shock that he is still only $3,000 here. If he continues to start, he is a terrific value and one of our favorite options to save on salary.

Small Forward

Patty Mills – ($4,800 DK) Mills looks great here, as we know he will be in for a ton of minutes with Irving off the floor. His price has come down significantly over the past few games, and he is too cheap for the massive upside he has in this spot. The Nets have a great matchup against the fast-paced kings, which makes Mills and other Brooklyn guys look even better here.

Power Forward

Terance Mann – ($4,300 DK) Mann has been playing a ton of minutes lately, as the Clippers are very short on options. Newly acquired Norman Powell is still out here, so we expect Mann to remain in the starting unit. Powell was out last game, and Mann took on a huge role going for 37.25 FPTS. He is too cheap for all the guys out, and a priority at this position for us.

Center

Jakob Poeltl – ($7,000 DK) Poeltl is one of those quietly great NBA players, as he is putting together a very productive season for the Spurs. He is averaging 35.8 FPTS over the past ten days, and he has been showing upside north of 40 FPTS a lot lately. Poeltl has an easy matchup against the Bulls here, so there is a nice opportunity for him to show one of those big nights.

General strategy

There are a ton of strong plays that we can get to tonight, so it’s not going to be easy choosing who we must leave out. Our strategy for Cash games tonight is going to be to lock in Jokic and put value around him. With the Nets being our favorite source of cheaper plays. One place we really like going for tournaments is the New York Knicks, which offer some high usage options in Kemba Walker and Alec Burks.
