Karl Anthony Towns DFS
LOS ANGELES, CA - FEBRUARY 01: Minnesota Timberwolves Center Karl-Anthony Towns (32) backs down Los Angeles Clippers Forward Maurice Harkless (11) during a NBA game between the Minnesota Timberwolves and the Los Angeles Clippers on February 1, 2020 at STAPLES Center in Los Angeles, CA. With most of the sports gambling world focused on the Superbowl, there is a great two-game NBA slate this morning. We are going to be all over the Indiana Pacers tonight, as a few guys are way too cheap for how the roster is currently built. There is also some nice value from the Atlanta Hawks, who will be without John Collins tonight.

Here’s Two Core Plays For DFS Basketball 2/13/22 (using DraftKings Values)

Point Guard
Shooting Guard
Small Forward
Power ForwardO. Brissett $4,500
CenterK. Towns $9,700
Guard
Forward
Utility

The Indiana Pacers just traded away Domantas Sabonis, so a few of their frontcourt guys are going to be seeing a lot more floor time. Oshae Brissett started in the last game, and he ended up playing 38 minutes. He crushed with 42.75 FPTS, as he did a little bit of everything on the floor. We expect Brissett to start again, and he should play a lot of run if it stays close. Brissett is too cheap at $4,500 here, and is one of our favorite options for value.

We have a lot of value tonight, but there are not many options to spend up for at the top end. One guy we are going to be getting to a lot here is Karl-Anthony Towns at $9,700. On a bigger slate Towns would be a mediocre play at this price, but here he is our favorite superstar to get to. Towns has fantastic upside and an easy matchup tonight against Indiana.

Here’s a Fade DFS Basketball 2/13/22 (using DraftKings Values)

If you are playing multiple lineups you don’t want to fade any of the big stars tonight, as there are so few available. However, one team we are light on is the Boston Celtics, as they just added a high usage guy in Derrick White. Jayson Tatum has been relatively unproductive over the past few games, and there is less of a need for him to take over with so many options.

Here Is What Your Get If You Subscribe For $15 Per Month or $99 For The Year…
• A star guard with a great price tag tonight.
• More priorities from Indiana.
• A cheap forward with a ton of upside.
• One stud center who has gotten very cheap for this slate.

Point Guard

D’Angelo Russell – ($7,100 DK) Most of the stars available tonight seem a little too expensive, so we love getting to a guy who is too cheap. Russell is coming in at a great price tag here, as he is averaging over 37 FPTS on the season. Russell is a huge upside guy, especially when we are getting him for so cheap. If Russell has one of his takeover nights, you will need him somewhere in your lineups.

Shooting Guard

Buddy Hield – ($5,600 DK) Hield was great in his first game as a Pacer, as he played a huge role in the team’s offense. He ended up with 40.75 FPTS in 40 minutes, so we like getting back to him at this price. Hield was struggling with the Kings at the end, but we know he can be a very productive DFS producer. The Pacers really lack depth, so it would not be surprising if Hield continues to do a lot.

Small Forward

Chris Duarte – ($5,700 DK) Duarte has been fantastic over the past few games, as Indiana has been giving him a huge opportunity. He has gone over 30 FPTS in three straight games, and he has been consistently playing well over 30 minutes. We know that Duarte has a lot of upside if he can go for a big shooting night, and this position is really thin here.

Power Forward

Danilo Gallinari – ($4,600 DK) There is a lot to like from Atlanta tonight with Collins sidelined, starting with Gallinari. He has been productive in the past few games, averaging over 25 FPTS across the past ten days. There is room for him to see more floor time with Collins out, which could make him a fantastic value at this price.

Center

Clint Capela – ($5,100 DK) Capela has been struggling for a few weeks, which has led to him being only $5,100. He is averaging 32.8 FPTS on the season, so there is a ton of upside when we are getting him at this price. The Hawks are going to be short-handed in the frontcourt without Collins, so there is room for Capela to play more minutes than we have been seeing.

General strategy

With only two games tonight our challenge for tournaments will be finding ways to get different while still rostering strong plays. Capela, Gallinari, Brissett, and Hield are all priorities we expect to be a bit less owned than they should be, so we will be getting to all of those guys for tournaments. We also must keep an eye out on more news here, as anyone else being ruled out could move around our priorities significantly.
