There are seven NBA games tonight, as we have a lot of moving parts to breakdown for this one. There are quite a few key injuries across the board here, so we will have no issues with finding tons of value. Our interest is going to be pretty spread out for this one, as opposed to last night when we were getting most of our value from OKC and Portland. One challenge tonight is choosing between point guards, as we would play 5 point guards if we could tonight.

Luka Doncic has been a priority for us over the past few weeks, as he has been doing everything for a Mavericks squad that’s missing some bodies. Doncic is averaging over 68 FPTS across the past ten days, and he has gone over 70 in three of his last five games. He always has the ball in his hands, and the Mavericks are constantly relying on him to do something spectacular.
We really liked Kevin Porter Jr. in the last one, and he was great with over 40 FPTS. He is still only $6,000 here, which is too cheap for how much upside he shows. Porter is averaging 29.9 FPTS on the season, but that includes some injury issues and some surprisingly unproductive nights. He always plays over 30 minutes in close games, and he takes massive usage. The upside for a huge performance is going to be there with Porter, so he gives our lineup a ton of upside at this price.
Here’s a Fade DFS Basketball 2/10/22 (using DraftKings Values)
Steph Curry is no stranger to our daily fades, as he is often too expensive on DraftKings for us to be interested. He is 10,500 tonight, which is a lot for a guy averaging 46.7 FPTS on the season. To put it in perspective a guy like Fred VanVleet is almost $2,000 cheaper despite only averaging three fewer FPTS, and VanVleet doesn’t even look that good tonight. Curry has a tough matchup against New York today, which is just another reason to pass on him.
Here Is What Your Get If You Subscribe For $15 Per Month or $99 For The Year…
• A high-upside guard who is crazy cheap tonight.
• A few priorities from the New York Knicks.
• One cheap guard who has had to step up with all the injuries in Brooklyn.
• Some general thoughts on the slate.
Point Guard
Kemba Walker – ($3,900 DK) It has been something of a bumpy ride for Walker on the Knicks, as he has dealt with some injuries and awful shooting stretches. However, that has all led to his being far cheaper than we would ever expect to see Walker. The Knicks are also missing RJ Barrett tonight, so there is going to be a lot of extra opportunity for the perimeter guys. Walker is a lock for us if he starts, but we like taking chances on him either way.
Shooting Guard
Cameron Thomas – ($5,000 DK) The Nets are on the road tonight so Kyrie Irving will be able to join the team. However, they are still gutted with James Harden and Kyrie Irving out. We expect Thomas to remain in the starting unit, and he went over 30 FPTS in both games of the last game starting next to Irving. He is going to be relied on a lot more then he should here, and hopefully the Nets can keep things closer against a gutted Wizards squad tonight.
Alec Burks – ($4,800 DK) This price is very fair for the typical production we see from Burks, so he is an obvious priority with Barrett sidelined. Burks is always a good upside, as we know he can take over a game when he has a good shooting night. He will definitely get the opportunity tonight, and you just can’t beat that upside at $4,800.
Kyle Kuzma – ($7,400 DK) We found out recently that Bradley Beal will be getting season ending surgery. The Wizards guys were all awful in the past two games, as they suffered two tough blowout losses. However, we expect tonight’s game to stay a lot closer between the Wizards and injured Nets. Kuzma has been great before those two blowouts, and we expect him to be generally productive for the remainder of the season.
Pascal Siakam – ($9,800 DK) Siakam went for 59 FPTS in the last game, which continued a four-game streak over 50 FPTS. He has been a dynamic producer for Toronto lately, as he has taken on a bigger role as a leader with everyone healthy. We really like getting to the Raptors here because they have an easy matchup against the Houston Rockets, so the upside on Siakam looks great.
General strategy
We have a ton of value tonight, so there is a lot of stands you can take depending on who you like. The Knicks look great in terms of upside, as there are a few guys who could stand to absorb a lot of Barrett’s usual role. We can also get higher on the Nets, who are missing two superstars with a nice matchup. As we mentioned earlier the biggest challenge tonight is choosing between guards. As Doncic, Porter, Walker, and Spencer Dinwiddie all look great at the same position.
