After only three games last night we are back with a thirteen-game behemoth tonight. With slates of this size there is no question we will be able to find some great value, but the trouble is differentiating between a ton of strong plays. There are a ton of guys ruled out for this one, so we have a lot to work off in terms of finding value. There is not one team focused on here, as guys look good from quite a few squads. Our premium content will focus on our favorite stud to build around for Cash as well as one value play that really stands out. We will also get to one fade on this slate, which will not be hard with how some guys are priced. Our premium content will focus on the rest of our absolute priorities, as well as any potential injury news we are watching for.

With all the value on tonight’s slate it is hard for anything to stand out. However, one guy who is at the top of our list here is Ayo Dosunmu, who was the main beneficiary of DeMar DeRozan’s minutes. As DeRozan remains out tonight, we expect Dosunmu to play a ton of minutes in this spot, as he saw 41.5 minutes last time out. He went for 31.5 FPTS last game and is way too cheap at $3,900. With the minutes we saw Dosunmu play in the first game with DeRozan, it is hard to imagine him disappointing us tonight.
A lot of the stars on this slate feel too expensive for how they have been producing, so paying the $11,900 for Nikola Jokic looks pretty good here. Jokic is one of the stars we really like for Cash games as he has the best floor production in the NBA, and a good matchup against New Orleans. Jokic is averaging more FPTS then anyone else on this slate, so with a lot of value available he makes a lot of sense.
Here’s a Fade DFS Basketball 12/8/21 (using DraftKings Values)
The pricing on stars has been weird on DraftKings this year. Some guys have been far too expensive, and they have not been priced down no matter what. Paul George remains an easy fade for us, as his price is the perfect example of the strange DK pricing. George is $10,700 here, despite not hitting value at this price one time in his game log. He has not had 60 FPT game in months, and that would not even be that big a deal at this price.
Now what do you get if you sign up now for $99?
• One stud guard who has a huge opportunity tonight.
• Two cheap wings that we expect to see a ton of floor time.
• A Star big man with crazy upside in this spot.
• Our specific priorities for Cash games vs. GPP’s.
Point Guard
Tyler Herro – PG ($7,000 DK) We already know that Jimmy Butler is going to be joining Bam Adebayo on the sideline tonight for the Heat. Herro is looks great in this spot, as he receives a huge usage bump when Butler is off the floor. Herro has a lot of upside here, and his price reflects his production on the entire season. We are happy with that matchup against the Bucks, and we know we have the salary to throw in some guys like Herro.
Shooting Guard
Eric Gordon ($5,300 DK) The Rockets are absolutely gutted without Kevin Porter Jr. or Jalen Green, and we have seen their top plays skyrocket in price. However, Gordon is still cheap here and he has seen a massive boost without Porter and Green. Gordon went for 31 FPTS last time out, and 35 FPTS in the game before. Over the past five games, he has played between 29 – 37 minutes a game, shooting double digit attempts in each outing. He is too cheap for the role he has with the guard injuries for this squad, and we are going to keep rostering him until he is priced up.
Cody Martin – ($5,000 DK) The Charlotte Hornets have all been priced up significantly with LaMelo Ball and Terry Rozier sidelined. However, they still all look good for there upside tonight. Martin is the guy from Charlotte we will be using for Cash tonight, as he still has a fantastic floor where he is priced. We saw him play 42 minutes in this same matchup last time out, and he is still just too cheap for that kind of floor time.
Evan Mobley – ($6,400 DK) Mobley is getting really cheap here, and we are happy going back to him against the Bucks. Mobley only went for 25 FPTS last time out, but nothing went right for him in that game. Mobley is averaging 33.4 FPTS on the season and has had some big nights lately. This is one of the cheaper tags he has had in a while, so we like taking him at this price while we have the chance.
Jusuf Nurkic – ($6,900 DK) Nurkic is one of the more inconsistent DFS producers in the NBA, but with Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum sidelined he is hard not to like. Nurkic went for 39.75 FPTS last time out, as he got up a whopping 19 shot attempts. It is not surprising that Nurkic saw crazy usage, and we expect that to be the case again with Lillard and McCollum out. Nurkic is too cheap for all these injuries, and we will be getting to him a lot here.
General strategy
With all the options on a slate this size, it can certainly be overwhelming trying to come up with the perfect lineup. A good approach is to separate your pool for Cash and GPP’s. For Cash games tonight we know we are going to be using a lot of Jokic, Herro and Giannis Antetokounmpo at the top end. While we will be using Dosunmu, Martin and Norman Powell for value. We really like getting to Nurkic, Gordon and Dillon Brooks for tournaments, as their variance gives them massive upside. Keep an eye on the news here, as with thirteen games it is very likely some more big stuff is announced.
