Six NBA games tonight for us to breakdown for DFS, and there is a lot to talk about here. We already know there are going to be a ton of injuries tonight, as Giannis Antetokounmpo, Jimmy Butler, Bam Adebayo, Ja Morant, and Jaylen Brown are among the key names out for this one. There are more teams missing a huge piece tonight then are healthy. It is not going to be hard finding value in here with all the backups who will see extended run. Our biggest challenge will be finding consistent studs at the top end, as a lot of the guys we would typically look at are sidelined. Our free content for the day will focus on one of our favorite value options as well as the superstar play that really stands out for us. We will also get to one of the available stars that we are fading in this spot. Our premium content will focus on the rest of our priorities and any more injury news we have to look out for.

A lot of our favorite superstars for DFS are not playing tonight, and the only one on this slate that can keep up with Luka Doncic is expected to be sidelined in Giannis Antetokounmpo. Doncic clearly stands out above the crowd tonight at the top end, and we have no problem with his $11,500 price tag. Doncic has been on fire lately, and we even saw him go for 54.5 FPTS last time out despite only playing 27 minutes in a blowout. Doncic is going to be the first guy we are building around in Cash games, and a big night will make him a must play for tournaments as well.
We know that Dwayne Dedmon is going to be seeing a lot of run over the next few weeks while Adebayo remains out. Dedmon started the last two, scoring 39.25 and 20 FPTS respectively. For tonight’s slate Dedmon has been priced down to $3,700, so he is a no brainer for value like he was two slates ago. He is going to start and play between 20 and 30 minutes here, and his floor is fantastic at this price. It is hard to imagine him really disappointing us in this spot, and we know from a few games ago that he has real upside when he starts.
Here’s a Fade DFS Basketball 12/4/21 (using DraftKings Values)
Until Paul George gets priced down on DraftKings he is going to be as easy a fade as you can get. At this point its getting hard to even remember the last time George actually had a really good game at this price point, and his floor is the worst in the League when he is this expensive. George typically scored between 35 and 45 FPTS, with 45 being a good night. He had a few explosive games to start the season, but that really doesn’t merit him being over $10,000 after over a month of disappointing value.
Now what do you get if you sign up now for $99?
• Our favorite play from the Milwaukee Bucks.
• A starting center who is way too cheap tonight.
• A cheap forward with massive upside.
• Some contrarian options we are targeting for tournaments.
Point Guard
Jrue Holiday – PG ($7,700 DK) Holiday is always a priority for us when Antetokounmpo sits as he typically sees a massive boost to most of his stats. He was fantastic without Antetokounmpo against the Raptors, as he put up 47 FPTS while playing a big role across 37 minutes. We really do not mind this Miami Heat matchup, as their defense is a lot less intimidating with Butler and Adebayo sidelined. Furthermore, as the Heat and Bucks are both missing their leaders tonight we are not worried about the blowout.
Shooting Guard
Ben Mclemore ($3,000 DK) The Portland Trailblazers are absolutely gutted tonight, especially when it comes to the guard rotation. We know that Lillard is out here, and we also saw Anfernee Simons go down last game. Without Lillard or Simons there is going to be a huge opportunity for whatever guards are left for Phoenix. We expect Mclemore to see some solid opportunity here, as he played 27 minutes last game and 18 in the game before it. We expect Mclemore to play around 25 minutes tonight, and we don’t need him to be overly productive in that time at the minimum price.
Norman Powell – ($5,200 DK) Powell is one of our favorite plays out of Portland in this spot without Lillard or Simons. Averaging 25.4 FPTS per game, Powell is already priced for his usual production. However, we expect his minutes and usage to be a lot better given the injuries to the Blazers, so he offers a ton of value in this spot. Powell has a lot of upside here as we expect him to create much more offence then usual on the perimeter, and it is hard to imagine him not playing crazy minutes if things stay close.
Keldon Johnson– ($5,300 DK) Johnson is just coming at a really nice price tonight, as we know he should be about $500 more expensive in this spot. Johnson has been playing massive run for the Spurs, which we expected to see coming into the season. He has played between 34 and 38 minutes in each of his last four games, showing upside north of 40 FPTS in that time. Johnson goes for huge games when the rebounding and scoring comes together, which we could see in this matchup against the Warriors.
Richaun Holmes – ($6,000 DK) Dedmon is our favorite center play as of now for cheap value, but we are also going to be getting to a lot of an underpriced Holmes. Holmes has been good lately, averaging 39.4 FPTS on 33 minutes in his last ten days. He has been showing some nice upside lately, and he is cheap tonight. Holmes has shot well in the past few games, and we expect the efficiency to come down. However, he is still just cheap for his season average of 31.8 FPTS.
General strategy
There is a ton of value for tonight, and these slates can often be some of the toughest. We must choose between different value plays from different teams that look fantastic, without as much past data to compare because of the injuries. We know for Cash tonight we are playing Doncic alongside Dedmon and some of the cheap value from Portland. The Blazers look the best for the budget plays tonight as they have a few guards around $3,000 that need to see run here. One way we like trying to get different for Tournament’s tonight is getting to Memphis studs like Jaren Jackson and Dillon Brooks, as they should be lower owned then some of the other options we have mentioned.
