After a few relatively mild injury slates, the teams playing tonight are absolutely ransacked. The Toronto Raptors, Orlando Magic, and Atlanta Hawks will be our biggest sources of value here, as they are all missing multiple key players. The Raptors are the most gutted here, to the point that DraftKings does not even have half of the guys they are going to be playing tonight. We are going to have to watch for news here, as some games could be postponed.

There is a ton of amazing value tonight, and it starts with this Raptors squad. There is a chance this game is postponed with all the guys being put in protocols, but they are a priority if they play. Mykhailiuk is typically not a guy we are going after in DFS, but we expect him to be one of the Raptor’s top options right now. A few of the Raptors playing tonight are not even on the slate, which should tell you how gutted this team is. Mykhailiuk could easily play 40 minutes tonight, and there are a ton of ways we can see him smash this price tag.
The Atlanta Hawks are another team that is missing a lot of their usual rotation here, with Trae Young and Clint Capela among those sidelined. John Collins is a lock here if this game is not postponed. He should see some monster usage as the number one option left for this team, and his big man responsibilities will be increased with Capela off the floor. Collins has crazy upside in this spot, and this matchup between two gutted teams could stay close.
Here’s a Fade DFS Basketball 12/22/21 (using DraftKings Values)
We have a lot of places we really like putting our salary on this slate, so we are happy to fade guys that are too expensive. The Boston Celtics studs are both way too pricey here in Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown. Tatum is $11,100, while Brown is coming in at $9,900. Both of those tags are very high given their production on the season, and the upside is not as good when everyone is healthy.
Now, what do you get if you sign up now for $99?
• A priority guard who is way too cheap.
• More high-value options from Toronto
• A star center who we are going to for the raw FPTS.
• Some general things to think about tonight.

Point Guard
Coby White – PG ($4,100 DK) The Chicago Bulls still have a few guys in the health and safety protocols, and they will be without Alex Caruso due to a foot injury. White played 32 minutes last game, and he went for 34.75 FPTS. He should be in for some nice floor time again tonight, and he is definitely too cheap at $4,100.
Shooting Guard
Gary Harris – ($5,100 DK) Harris typically doesn’t do too much with the ball in his hands, but that has not been the case with all the other Magic guards sidelined. Harris has had to play 36 minutes in each of the past two games scoring 35.25 and 34.25 FPTS respectively. He has shot the ball 31 times across the past two, so the upside is great.
Yuta Watanabe – ($4,000 DK) With all of the injuries for Toronto tonight it is practically a guarantee that Watanabe plays massive minutes. He has already scored well over 20 FPTS three games in a row, and his minutes will be a lot better tonight. Watanabe is typically a low usage guy, but there is no reason to expect that with the rotation tonight. Regardless, there are a lot of ways for him to crush value in this spot.
Chris Boucher – ($5,100 DK) Boucher looks fantastic here. Unlike Watanabe, we often see Boucher take some nice usage in his time on the floor. Boucher typically hasn’t seen the floor time to be a consistent producer this season, but we have no doubt he gets a lot of run tonight. We expect him to start at center for Toronto here, and this should be his biggest opportunity of the season.
Nikola Jokic – ($12,600 DK) We know we are going to have a ton of salary tonight, as so many guys will be asked to step up for their teams. We will have a ton of salary left on the table as a result, and Jokic stands out as the best play on the slate production-wise. The Joker just ended a six-game streak over 60 FPTs, and he put up 50 last time in only 26 minutes.
General strategy
We are getting to a lot of the Raptors guys here, as they just look way too cheap for the roles, we expect from them here. We are going to have a ton of extra salary, so we are not worried if the price tags on are stars look a little high. The main thing here is to keep an eye on the news, as it is not unlikely one of these games is postponed.
