Karl Anthony Towns DFS

At this point, we may as well change the name of this article from NBA DFS advice to the NBA health and safety protocols report. Guys are being ruled out left and right here, so most of the teams are gutted.  The whole concept of value in DFS is completely foreign to what it has been in years past. We have some guys near the minimum price that look fantastic, as we have had every night lately. We will focus on the stud plays that we think will be key to winning, as well as the budget options that look the very best.

Here’s Two Core Plays For DFS Basketball 12/19/21 (using DraftKings Values)

Point GuardT. Haliburton $6,900
Shooting Guard
Small Forward
Power ForwardJ. Collins $6,700
Center
Guard
Forward
Utility

This is an overwhelming slate. There are so many plays that stand out, are challenge is picking the priorities. We are focused on guys who are not priced like superstars but can easily give us 50 FPTS.  Tyrese Haliburton is going to be one of our favorite options at $6,900 tonight with De’Aaron Fox out. Haliburton saw massive usage in this role last time, and it was no surprise that he picked up 10 assists. The Spurs are a great matchup, so we are expecting a big night here.

We really like the Minnesota Timberwolves for stud options tonight, as Anthony Edwards is sidelined. D’Angelo Russell is a priority here, despite disappointing us last time out. Russell is only $7,400 here, and we expect him to play a huge role without Edwards. Russell only played 27 minutes in a blowout win last time, but he got up 15 shots in that time. If he has a good shooting night in this spot he will have a huge performance and we like the matchup against Dallas.

Here’s a Fade DFS Basketball 12/19/21 (using DraftKings Values)

We aren’t getting away from too many guys at the top end tonight, as we have a ton of value to pay up with. However, Russell Westbrook is a fade for us once again, as he has not had a good game in a few weeks now. Westbrook rarely hits the 50 FPT mark, and he almost never does when LeBron James plays and handles the ball. We have some great studs tonight, so we have no reason to get to Westbrook.

Now, what do you get if you sign up now for $99?• A stud guard with huge upside. • A few of our favorite options from Minnesota.• A cheap forward who saw a massive role last time out.• One stud  center we have our eyes on.Sign up today for $99 (for six months) here

Point Guard

LaMelo Ball – PG ($9,500 DK) Ball is a fantastic spend-up option here, as he should be a little more expensive with his upside. Ball has gone over 50 FPTS in three of the past four games, and we saw him show his upside with over 60 FPTS a few games ago. He does everything for the Hornets, and we expect his minutes to look a lot better having a game back after returning from the protocols.

Shooting Guard

Malik Beasley – ($4,700 DK) With Anthony Edwards in the health and safety protocols, Beasley is starting in his place. He shot the ball 18 times last game, going for 33 FPTS. He is too cheap for his role in the starting lineup, and he can go for an even bigger game with this much usage.

Small Forward

Harrison Barnes  ($6,300 DK) We just got the news that two games are going to be postponed tonight, so we are more focused on the Kings. Barnes saw a lot of usage without Fox last time out, and he went for 34 FPTS on 31 percent shooting. If Barnes can put together a better shooting night he can absolutely smash here, as we know he is going to get a huge opportunity in the Kings offense.

Power Forward

Chimezie Metu – ($4,800 DK) Metu is another priority from the Kings for us tonight, as we saw him smash last time out. Metu went for 38.75 FPTS, and we saw him take on a huge role without Fox. He got 15 attempts up in 36 minutes, the type of usage we never see him take when everyone is healthy. We expect another big opportunity for him tonight, so he is way too cheap here.

Center

Karl-Anthony Towns – ($9,600 DK) With the news that Nikola Jokic is not playing tonight we are going to be getting to a lot of Towns. The Wolves look great in general without Edwards, and we saw Towns put up 20 shot attempts when he was sidelined last game. He went for 56 FPTS last time out and he would have seen more run if it stayed close. We love him for the raw production tonight, and salary will not be an issue.

General strategy

The injury news is pouring in right now, so we have no doubt more guys will be announced out before lock. Keep an eye on the news and be ready to late swap like we had to last night with Jrue Holiday. Our priorities tonight are going to be the Kings and the Timberwolves, as a few of the teams we were looking at got their games postponed. Good luck tonight, and make sure to see what else is postponed here.
