We have nine games tonight, and there is a lot more value than we had to deal with last night. A lot looks good here, as we have some fantastic price tags across the slate. Our favorite place to look for value tonight is going to be the Sacramento Kings. A few of the Kings guys are cheap here, and there is a big opportunity in the frontcourt with the absence of Richaun Holmes. We have some great superstars at the top end tonight, but we also want to get to a few studs in the middle price range.

Here’s Two Core Plays For DFS Basketball 12/10/21 (using DraftKings Values)

Point Guard
Shooting Guard
Small Forward
Power ForwardG. Antetokounmpo $10,900
CenterT. Thompson $3,500
Guard
Forward
Utility

Antetokounmpo is under $11,000 for the first time in months tonight, as his $10,900 tag instantly screams value. The Bucks have a dream matchup against Houston tonight, as the Rockets play at the fastest pace in the NBA with a terrible defense. Antetokounmpo should be able to absolutely feast here, as the Rockets have no weapons capable of slowing him down. Antetokounmpo is the first guy we are putting in Cash lineups today, and at this price, we will be getting him quite a bit for GPP’s as well.

We mentioned in our introduction that our favorite source of value tonight is the Sacramento Kings. The frontcourt looks particularly enticing as there is a lot of value with Holmes sidelined. Holmes left the court after ten minutes last game, and we saw a nice opportunity for Tristan Thompson. Thompson went for 31.5 FPTS in 21 minutes last time, and he had high usage. If we see Thompson start here he is a remarkable value. If we see Alex Len happens to get the start, then we are going to roster him over Thompson.

Here’s a Fade DFS Basketball 12/10/21 (using DraftKings Values)

It is very hard to justify James Harden being the most expensive player on the slate at $11,200, as a few guys look way better in terms of production this season. Harden was the chalk spend up last time around once we got the news that Durant was sidelined. However, he was relatively underwhelming with 54 FPTS. Harden always has upside but including him over Antetokounmpo or Luka Doncic does not make sense outside of large field GPP’s.

Now, what do you get if you sign up now for $99?
• A star guard who is too cheap for his colossal upside.
• One stud forward who has been taking on a huge role for the Hornets.
• A budget priority for us from the Sacramento Kings.
• A stud big man who has a great matchup.

Point Guard

Darius Garland – PG ($7,300 DK) Garland has been playing one of the biggest roles offensively out of anyone in the NBA since Collin Sexton went down with injury. Garland has passed the 30-minute mark in each of the past ten games, and we can count on 35 minutes from him if it stays close. He has gone for well over 50 FPTS in two of his past four outings, and his ceiling has been massive lately. With an easy matchup against the Minnesota Timberwolves, Garland is too cheap for this one.

Shooting Guard

Terence Davis ($4,000 DK) Davis has been playing great lately, which has opened a lot more minutes for him lately. He has played around 30 minutes for three straight games, and his production has been 38, 37, and 28.75 FPTS respectively across those three. Davis has not gone under 20 FPTS in six outings, so he feels very safe at this questionable price tag. Davis is going to be popular here, but when a good play is way too cheap it is not a very exciting fade.

Small Forward

Josh Hart  ($5,000 DK) Hart is another guy who is probably going to be popular with his price tag for tonight. Hart has been playing well over 30 minutes lately, and we saw him play 42 minutes last time out. Hart has passed the 30 FPT mark in four of his past six games, and both the games he failed to do so were tougher matchups against the Jazz. The Pelicans face off against the Pistons tonight, so we are betting on another nice performance from Hart.

Power Forward

Gordon Hayward  ($7,300 DK) Hayward is functionally playing the point for this gutted Hornets squad, and we are seeing some big DFS performances. Hayward has been the number one initiator offensively for this unit, as we have seen him double his assist average in the last two games. His usage has also been fantastic, as he has shot the ball 15-19 times respectively in the games with all the injuries. He is our favorite Hornet here, as he is way too cheap for the role he has taken on.

Center

Jonas Valanciunas – ($8,000 DK) Valanciunas has been very expensive for a lot of this season, so we have only looked at him as a tournament option. However, this is the first night that he is a little too cheap, and we love the matchup. Valanciunas can absolutely feast on the Pistons, and we are hoping this one stays close. Valanciunas went for 51.75 FPTS last time out, and we know that is the kind of upside he can go for.

General strategy

There are a lot of directions you can take your lineup tonight. You can squeeze in two superstars at the top in Antetokounmpo and Luka Doncic, as we have the value to pay up. Our approach for Cash is going to be to play Antetokounmpo alongside Garland, as he stands out as a better value. We are going to use Thompson, Davis, and Hart for value in Cash as that is where we expect the ownership to be. We really like using Garland for tournaments as well, as he has not been as high-owned as he should be for his fantastic upside. Garland is the cheapest player on the slate with a solid chance to go for 50 FPTS, which is too big for GPP’s. Keep an eye on the news here, as we usually have some big things break with slates of this size.
