As we get closer and closer to the end of the regular season, teams will be sitting more and more players. We have a ton of guys sidelined across seven games tonight, so that is where we will be looking for DFS value. We love getting to the Orlando Magic tonight with a few key guys out against the Charlotte Hornets. The Lakers and Celtics will also be priorities here, as both teams are sitting a few of their top usage options.

Here’s Two Core Plays For DFS Basketball 4/7/22 (using DraftKings Values)

Point GuardT. Jones $5,300
Shooting Guard
Small ForwardJ. Brown $8,900
Power Forward
Center
Guard
Forward
Utility

The San Antonio Spurs have played three games with Dejounte Murray sidelined, and we have seen Tre Jones make the most of his opportunity to join the starting lineup. Jones has scored 32.75, 40.25, and 39.5 FPTS respectively in the past three games, as he has seen massive floor time. The Spurs have a great matchup against the Minnesota Timberwolves tonight, as both teams are among the fastest-paced in the league.

We just got the news that the Boston Celtics would be without Jayson Tatum and Al Horford tonight, so they are thin for a big seeding game against the Milwaukee Bucks’ Jaylen Brown is a priority for us tonight, as we expect him to take on a ton of usage in Tatum’s absence. Brown has been fantastic in the past few games, averaging 51.3 FPTS across the past ten games. He has a ton of upside tonight, and we have no problem paying $8,900 for him with all the budget options on this slate.

Here’s a Fade DFS Basketball 4/7/22 (using DraftKings Values)

Most of the top-end options look really good tonight, so there are not many guys we want to get away from if we have multiple lineups. One guy we will be passing on here is James Harden, who just falls a bit short compared to our other options as the top. Harden is $10,200 tonight, and we can do a lot with that salary elsewhere.

Point Guard

Markelle Fultz – ($5,200 DK) The Orlando Magic are missing Cole Anthony among a few other key guys, so we expect Fultz to see some nice run in the starting lineup. Fultz has seen some solid usage lately, leading to his going over 30 FPTS in three of the past four outings. The Magic have one of the best matchups in the league against Charlotte here, so Fultz looks fantastic at $5,200.

Shooting Guard

Talen Horton-Tucker – ($4,200 DK) As we mentioned in our introduction the Los Angeles Lakers look fantastic for value tonight, as they are missing all three of their stars in Russell Westbrook, Anthony Davis, and Lebron James. We are eager to find out who starts here, as that will determine our priorities. THT has a lot of upside when the opportunity is there, so we will be all over him if he ends up in the starting five.

Small Forward

Ignas Brazdeikis – ($3,500 DK) Brazdeikis usually does not do much for the Orlando Magic, but with all the injuries he has seen some massive opportunities lately. He has played 37 and 36 minutes respectively in the past two games, going for 26 and 30.5 FPTS. Brazdeikis is still only $3,500, and we expect him to continue playing a ton of floor time.

Power Forward

Stanley Johnson – ($3,700 DK) As we mentioned earlier we are eager to find out who starts tonight for Los Angeles, as either Johnson or Wenyen Gabriel could get the forward nod. They are similarly priced here, so our priority will be whoever ends up starting. The Lakers all have a lot more upside than usual here, as someone will have to take the shots.

Center

Moritz Wagner – ($4,600 DK) The Magic are missing Wendell Carter Jr. and Franz Wagner here, which should open some nice floor time for Moritz Wagner. Wagner has been solid over the past two games, with 31.25 and 26.75 FPTS respectively. We expect him to start for the Magic tonight, and $4,600 is a great price in this spot.

General strategy

Last night we got a ton of news closer to lock, and we are expecting that to happen frequently for the rest of the regular season. It is very likely more big names are announced out, so it is going to be key watching the news all the way until the last games start. We already have a ton of value with the news we have now, as the Magic, Spurs, Celtics, and Lakers provide more value options than we need. We will be going to a stars and scrubs lineup here, as we have some strong plays under $4,000.
