With all the attention on the Jayhawks’ win last night, we are back with 12 games of NBA action to break down for tonight. There is a lot going on here in terms of DFS, as we have a ton of injuries at this point in the season. The first team we must mention for this one is the San Antonio Spurs, as they look fantastic with Dejounte Murray sidelined. We also really like the Brooklyn Nets, who have a must-win game against the fast-paced Houston Rockets.

Here are Two Core Plays For DFS Basketball 4/5/22 (using DraftKings Values)

Point GuardT. Jones $4,000
Shooting Guard
Small Forward
Power ForwardK. Durant $11,600
Center
Guard
Forward
Utility

With Murray out of the lineup for the Spurs, Tre Jones stands to see the biggest boost as he starts at the point in Murray’s absence. Jones started in the past two games, in which he scored 32.75 and 40.25 FPTS respectively. It is a bit of a shocker that Jones is still only $4,000 here, but this price tag makes him a no-brainer for value. Jones has an incredible floor in this spot, and he can put out some huge games for $4,000.

We spoke about how much we wanted to roster Kevin Durant for the last slate, as the Nets are in a must-win mode to determine play-in seeding. Durant exploded for a career-high 55 points, good for 72.3 FPTS. The Nets still need to win here, and they have the easiest matchup possible against the Houston Rockets. We expect Durant to absolutely obliterate the Rockets’ defense in this one, and we would not be surprised with another huge game.

Here’s a Fade DFS Basketball 4/5/22 (using DraftKings Values)

We have a ton of options at every price point tonight, so plays that do not really stand out will not make the cut for our roster. One guy we are fading tonight is LaMelo Ball who is generally unenticing here with a tough matchup against Miami. Ball is on the more expensive end of his price variance at $9,200, and we can never expect a big game against the Heat. With a lot of better options for cheaper, Ball is an easy fade for us on this slate.

Here Is What Your Get If You Subscribe For $15 Per Month or $99 For The Year… • Two budget guards who should see massive floor time. • A starting forward who is way too cheap. • A star center with a fantastic matchup. • A few key questionable tags we are watching for.   Sign up here!

Point Guard

Patty Mills – ($3,900 DK) We are steering clear of Mills for Cash games, as poor shooting has led to some extremely unproductive nights for him. Last time out he only scored 1.75 FPTS in 31 minutes, missing every shot attempt and drawing no fouls. However, Mills has a lot of upside when he is playing this kind of floor time with Seth Curry out. A good shooting night from Mills would make him a dynamic value with the opportunities he has been seeing.

Shooting Guard

Lonnie Walker IV – ($4,000 DK) The role that Walker plays on the Spurs has been somewhat inconsistent this season, but we expect him to consistently play over 20 minutes with Murray out of the rotation. $4,000 is a tremendous price to be paying for Walker in this spot, as he has a lot of upside with very little risk. Walker has gone over 20 FPTS in both games without Murray, and he has upside for a big night if he can get it going from deep.

Small Forward

Patrick Williams – ($3,800 DK) Williams was a priority for us last time, as his recovery has made some huge progress and he is playing around 30 minutes in close games. Williams went for 28.5 FPTS last game and 33.5 FPTS in the game before that. At this price, we still do not need much from Williams, and he clearly has the potential to provide some great value.

Power Forward

Kristaps Porzingis – ($8,900 DK) Porzingis has seen some massive usage lately as the clearcut first option on the Washington Wizards. Since Kyle Kuzma went down the Wizards’ offense has relied on Porzingis immensely, and it shows up in his DFS production. He has shown a ton of upside lately and has a fantastic matchup tonight against the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Center

Bam Adebayo – ($7,900 DK) We want to get some exposure to the Miami Heat tonight, as they have a dream matchup against the Charlotte Hornets. Adebayo is averaging 40.6 FPTS on the season, so he is coming in at a solid price tonight. He always has solid upside, and the Hornets have been getting consistently exposed by opposing centers for years now.

General strategy

We just found out that Cole Anthony and Gary Harris will be sidelined for the Magic tonight, so we have a lot of value in the Orlando guards. Markelle Fultz is a priority for us in this spot, and we are eager to see how the starting lineup fills out. We also have a few key questionable tags to watch here, as Brandon Williams and Zach Lavine were both listed as questionable this afternoon. With twelve games we are expecting to get more and more news closer to lock, some make sure to keep an eye on things.
