NBA DFS Advice for April 10, 2022

Nikola Jokic
LOS ANGELES, CA - APRIL 01: Denver Nuggets Forward Nikola Jokic (15) looks to make a pass over Los Angeles Clippers Center Ivica Zubac (40) during a NBA game between the Denver Nuggets and the Los Angeles Clippers on April 1, 2021 at STAPLES Center in Los Angeles, CA. The game was played without fans due to the COVID-19 pandemic. (Photo by Brian Rothmuller/Icon Sportswire)

This is our last NBA DFS slate of the regular season, and it might just be the most absurd. The amount of value tonight is a complete joke, as a handful of teams are resting their main guys. The Chicago Bulls are a top priority here with all their usual starters out, but we also have key absences on the Knicks, Lakers, and Thunder. The challenge tonight is choosing between a seemingly endless number of great options, so we are highlighting the absolute priorities.

Here’s Two Core Plays For DFS Basketball 4/10/22 (using DraftKings Values)

Point GuardA. Dosunmu $3,900
Shooting Guard
Small Forward
Power ForwardO. Toppin $6,500
Center
Guard
Forward
Utility

The Chicago Bulls are missing all their stars tonight, which means there is going to be a ton of usage going around for the other guys. Ayo Dosunmu is one of our favorite plays on the slate tonight at $3,900, as we expect him to take on a massive role in the Bull’s offense. Dosunmu has shown some huge games this season, and this is going to be one of his biggest opportunities yet.

Julius Randle has been shut down for the last two weeks from New York, which has led to a massive role for Obi Toppin. The Knicks shut down RJ Barrett as well, so Toppin was tasked with taking over the Knicks’ offense in the last game. He shot the ball 22 times and exploded for 47.5 FPTS. We expect Toppin to take on a huge role again tonight, so we are happy going right back to him at $6,500.

Here’s a Fade DFS Basketball 4/10/22 (using DraftKings Values)

This game really doesn’t matter for most guys, so we are looking to shy away from teams who are already focused on a serious playoff run. Devin Booker is a guy we are going to be lighter on, as we do not expect the Suns to stretch him for too many minutes here.

Here Is What Your Get If You Subscribe For $15 Per Month or $99 For The Year…
• A cheap guard playing crazy minutes.
• Another priority from the Knicks.
• Two budget forwards with massive upside.

Point Guard

Zavier Simpson– ($4,800 DK) Simpson is starting at point guard for the Oklahoma City Thunder, and the amount of run he has seen in his three games is ridiculous. He has played 44, 39, and 47 minutes respectively, with his biggest opportunity coming in the last game. They pretty much just left Simpson out there for the entire game last time, so he looks great for DFS.

Shooting Guard

Immanuel Quickley – ($6,700 DK) Along with Toppin, the Knicks offense was in Quickley’s hands last game. The Knicks gave the sophomore all the usage he could ask for, and he went off for 52 FPTS. We expect Quickley to see a massive role again tonight, and we don’t really care about the rising salary on this kind of slate.

Small Forward

Talen Horton-Tucker – ($5,200 DK) The Lakers have been giving massive opportunities to THT since they were eliminated from the playoffs, as we have seen him do it all over the past two games. He has scored 56.25 and 37 FPTS respectively in his last two games, so he is a huge priority for us at only $5,200.

Power Forward

Patrick Williams – ($4,100 DK) We have been getting to Williams a lot lately with all the Bulls on the floor at this price point, so with all of the studs sidelined he looks incredible. Williams should see a ton of shots tonight, as we expect the Bulls want to give him the chance to get some strides in.

Center

Nikola Jokic – ($12,400 DK) After plugging in some of our absolute priorities tonight, we are left with quite a bit of salary on the table. We love getting to Jokic here at $12,400, as he has been crushing in this last stretch. It seems Jokic and Embiid may be having something of an O’Neale-Robinson style MVP race here, as they have both been padding the stats toward the end. Jokic has gone over 70 FPTS for 7 straight games, so he is a priority if he plays.

General strategy

This is a wild slate, and it is going to be key watching the news here. With eleven games we have no doubt that a handful of players will be ruled out. We have questionable tags on most of the stars not already ruled out, so expect things to get crazy. Do not worry much about getting contrarian for tournaments here, as everyone will be low owned with all of the options. Good luck tonight and have some fun with this one.
