As we head into Kansas racing week, this seems like a unique week as there are quite a few value drivers this that you can insert into your lineup. Let’s now take a deep dive into who I think you can insert into your lineup for the Wise Power 200 at Kansas Speedway.

Below is a lineup that we believe can provide the best value for the Wire Power 200 at Kansas Speedway on 05/01/2021 (DraftKings Values)

Driver #1Sheldon Creed $ 9,400
Driver #2  $
Driver #3Matt Crafton $ 8,700
Driver #4Christian Eckes $ 8,100
Driver #5  $
Driver #6  $ 6,900

Sheldon Creed

This pick is in the realm of a no-brainer to me. Sheldon Creed is likely to be the sure thing week in and week out this year. In last year’s three races at Kansas Speedway, Creed was able to finish eighth, 26th, and second. Overall, pretty good but I bet that Creed wants to win it this time around after missing out three times last year. Creed will be out for blood. Creed has raced at Kansas four times in the last three years where he has one top-five finish, two top 10 finishes, and has led a series second 91 laps. Creed is one of the best drivers in the series and I cannot see why he doesn’t perform exceptionally on Friday night. Creed could also benefit from some place differential points this week as he starts eighth.

Matt Crafton

As one of the series’ steady veterans you can always count on Matt Crafton to race his heart out. The Truck Series has only raced at Kansas a lot in the last three years. In five races, Crafton has been excellent. He has one win, two top-five finishes, top 10 finishes in each race, while leading 37 laps. Crafton will start this weekend’s race in the 12th spot which should easily put him in contention to drive for the win. In six races this year Crafton has yet to find victory lane but does have one top five finish at Las Vegas, three top 10 finishes and had finished top 15 in five of six races. I think Crafton is a sneaky pick this week, he comes at great value and a good starting position to content early. I think this could be the week he gets his first win of the season.

Christian Eckes

Starting in his third race of the season, Christian Eckes will look to add another top 10 finish. In two races this year at the Daytona Road Course ad at Las Vegas Eckes has finished 10th and ninth respectively. Eckes has raced at Kansas three times in his career where he has an astounding average finish of 7.00. Last year he finished 13th, second and sixth at Kansas Speedway. You know that he was upset with himself that he could not have turned the second pace finish into a win. Eckes had a good 2020 season where he had seven top-five finishes, 11 top 10 finishes, while leading 137 laps. Being a part-time driver, this year means that Eckes will be starting in the middle of the pack in 17th. Eckes has a lot of point differential especially if he can race to another top 10 or top-five finish.

Below is a lineup that we believe can provide the best value for the Wire Power 200 at Kansas Speedway on 05/01/2021 (DraftKings Values)

Driver #1Sheldon Creed $ 9,400
Driver #2Austin Hill $ 8,900
Driver #3Matt Crafton $ 8,700
Driver #4Christian Eckes $ 8,100
Driver #5Jordan Anderson $ 7,100
Driver #6Todd Gilliland $ 6,900

Austin Hill

After finishing last year’s three races at Kansas in first, sixth, and third, I think that Austin Hill has as good a shot as anyone to win this race. Hill is going to lineup in the fourth row along with Sheldon Creed, and the both can easily get to the front. With Hill looking for his first win of the year and Creed being one of the best drivers this year, it is my play for this week. So far in 2021 Hill has two top five finishes and four top 10 finishes. His start of the year was a little rough, but he has rebounded the last four races excellently. Hill was a dominant racer in the 2019 and 2020 seasons where he had six wins, 18 top five finishes, 30 top 10 finishes and led 557 laps.

Jordan Anderson

Kansas has not really been Jordan Anderson’s best track in his career, but for this race I am going to give him a shot as I see him as great value. In three races at Kansas last year Anderson’s best finish was 15th. Now if he can improve his 36th place finish and finish 15th again I will be very happy with him on my team. 2020 was Andersons best season so far and can provide lots of value this week and in the future. The Truck Series is dominated by the top-end drivers and finding the diamonds in the rough like Anderson can be key to winning your matchups.

Todd Gilliland

In his fourth season full-time with the NASCAR Truck Series, Todd Gilliland has been off to a good start. In six races he has finished 31st, fourth, 13th, 17th, fourth and sixth. Gilliland has been good as of late. Overall, not bad. Gilliland raced at Kansas three times last year where he finished 10th, 20th, and 13th. Again, that is pretty good, Gilliland has consistently the last two years raced to many top 15 performances. He has been constantly getting better could be just around the corner. In 2020 Gilliland finished with four top-five finishes, 10 top 10 finishes, and 98 laps led. A downgrade from his 2019 production but we all know 2020 was a difficult season for many reasons. With Gilliland starting in the sixth position this week I think it really opens the door for him to get into the top-five early and stay there.

Now go win your matchup and let us know how you did. Or if I picked every driver that will be in that lap 132 crash, I encourage you to let me hear it. Either way, come find us on Twitter (@FantasyDFSX).
