As we head into our second road race of the year at the Circuit of Americas, we will have to look at drivers’ stats and history from other road courses as we build our lineup this week. Another great part about this weekend is we are back to practice and qualifying. This week we are going to focus on finding value by looking at previous top contenders at road courses. There are quite a few value drivers that you can insert into your lineup. Let’s now take a deep dive into who I think you can insert into your lineup for the Pit Boss 250 at Circuit of Americas.

Below is a lineup that we believe can provide the best value for the Pit Boss 250 at Circuit of Americas on 05/22/2021 (DraftKings Values)

Driver #1Austin Cindric $ 10,700
Driver #2
Driver #3Jeb Burton $ 8,000
Driver #4Alex Labbe $ 7,800
Driver #5
Driver #6  $ 6,900

Austin Cindric ($10,700)

As the top driver in the Xfinity Series, Austin Cindric is a no brainer every week if you can find a way to fit him into your lineup. Cindric has been excellent in 2021 where he has three wins, seven top-five finishes, eight top 10 finishes, and has led 397 laps. All his statistics this year are Xfinity Series highs. His worst finish this year is 30th two weeks ago at Darlington, but he did crash, so we will forget about that one for now. Cindric followed up his 30th place finish with a win last week at Dover, so there is nothing to worry about. At the end of the day there are not going to be many races this year where you can get Cindric cheap so you have to pick the weeks you want to use him in your lineup, this is one of those weeks. Cindric has dominated road races the last three years. In 11 races Cindric has three wins, eight top five finishes, nine top 10 finishes and has led 118 laps. All are series highs except for laps led, where he trails Chase Briscoe who has 135 laps led over the last three years.  Cindric is going to be moving up to the Cup Series next year, he has his sights set on loading up on Xfinity Series wins before he makes the jump. Cindric is the best driver with the best car, I say he wins this one and leads a ton of laps. I think Cindric will leave Circuit of Americas with back to back wins.

Jeb Burton ($8,000)

I mentioned earlier that I thought there was incredible value in this race, well here is one of the drivers who I think comes extremely cheap for how optimistic I am for their chances to race well this week. Jeb Burton has had an excellent start to the 2021 season where he has one win, four top-five finishes and six top 10 finishes. If you take out his 25th place finish at Atlanta and 20th place finish at Darlington, his only blunders, he has an average finish this year of 6.5. Now if you want to include every race, you also get a very nice number, of 9.70. Talk about a great start to the year. Burton will race at a road course for the third time over the last three years this weekend. In his previous two races he has one top five finish. Burton has really come into his own this year after finally becoming a full-time driver in the Xfinity Series. Burton is going to have plenty of opportunity to contend for another top-five finish.

Alex Labbe ($7,800)

Driving the Number 38 for DGM Racing, Alex Labbe has had a bit of a rocky start to the 2021 season where he only has one top 10 finish. Labbe has had a good start to his career though as he has already been crowned champion of the NASCAR Pinty’s Series back in 2017. In his Xfinity Career Labbe has one top five finish and five top 10 finishes in 89 races. However, on road courses Labbe is a different driver. Of his top five and top 10 totals I mentioned above, his one top five and three of his top 10 finishes have been at road courses, again showing that he is a good road course driver. I would expect that Labbe will start near the back of the pack on Saturday, which would mean that he has some point differential potential plus maybe some top 10 upside. Labbe is my sleeper of the week even with his higher cost.

Below is a lineup that we believe can provide the best value for the Pit Boss 250 at Circuit of Americas on 05/22/2021 (DraftKings Values)

Driver #1Austin Cindric $ 10,700
Driver #2Tyler Reddick $ 8,500
Driver #3Jeb Burton $ 8,000
Driver #4Alex Labbe $ 7,800
Driver #5Michael Annett $ 7,400
Driver #6Jeremy Clements $ 6,900

Tyler Reddick ($8,500)

I have been enjoying everything I have seen from Tyler Reddick since he burst onto the scene in 2018 and 2019 winning eight races in the Xfinity Series while also being back to back champion those two years. Reddick moved up to the Cup Series in 2020 and had a great rookie season with three top-five finishes and nine top 10 finishes. For me, anytime I see Reddick back in the Xfinity Series I am going to insert him into my lineup. With that as well, I don’t mind the price point for him either. Reddick has raced well in the Xfinity Series on road courses in the last three years. He has three top five finishes, four top 10 finishes, and top 20 in five of six races. I think Reddick provides a lot of value for his middle of the pack price point as he prepares for the Cup Series race on Sunday. Look for Reddick to be near the front of the pack all day.

Michael Annett ($7,400)

The driver of the number 1 for JR Motorsports Michael Annett finished the 2020 season ninth in points and made the playoffs. Annett is one of the more seasoned veterans in the Xfinity Series with his 305 career starts. Annett has been able to secure five top 10 finishes so far this year, including a seventh-place finish at Dover last weekend. In the last three years, Annett has been good at road courses. In 11 races he has four top 10 finishes and has placed top 20 in all 11. Overall, pretty good for the veteran. Annett is going to be looking at continuing his good season this year by adding another top 10 finish, something he has shown he can do numerous times.

Jeremy Clements ($6,900)

Driving the Number 51 Chevrolet Camaro for JC Racing, Jeremy Clements comes into this race poised to add another top 10 finish to his road racing career. Clements has raced on road courses 11 times in the last three years where he has three top 10 finishes, and top 20 finishes in 10 of 11 races. This is a very sneaky high potential pick this week that could pay huge dividends. In the 2020 season, Clements finished with one top-five finish, five top 10 finishes, and led 12 laps. Clements got his first and only career Xfinity win in 2017 at Elkhart Lake. So far in 2021 Clements has four top 10 finishes at the Daytona Road Course, Homestead-Miami, Phoenix, and Darlington. Clements has finished top 20 in all races but the first at Daytona.
