As we head into Darlington racing week, we do not have a lot of data to go on due top the fact that the Truck Series has only been to Darlington once in the last three years. This week we are going to focus on finding value and hoarding point differential points. This is a unique week as there are quite a few value drivers that you can insert into your lineup. Let’s now take a deep dive into who I think you can insert into your lineup for the LiftKits4Less.com 200 at Darlington Raceway.

Below is a lineup that we believe can provide the best value for the LiftKits4Less.com 200 at Darlington Raceway on 05/07/2021 (DraftKings Values)

Driver #1
Driver #2Derek Kraus $ 9,000
Driver #3Stewart Friesen $ 8,800
Driver #4Jordan Anderson $ 8,000
Driver #5
Driver #6  $ 6,600

Jordan Anderson ($8,000)

I am trying a few different things this week with my lineup by choosing drivers who are near the rear of the starting field. With Darlington being raced once in the last three years in the Trucks Series, I see this week as a time to experiment. In last year’s race at Darlington Jordan Anderson finished 24th, which of course is not great, but I want to give him a shot this week. Anderson is going to start the race in 31st, and there really is only up to go from there. 2020 was Andersons best season so far and can provide lots of value this week and in the future. The Truck Series is dominated by the top-end drivers and finding the diamonds in the rough like Anderson can be key to winning your matchups. Look for Anderson to get into the top 20 this week and get you some point differential points.

Derek Kraus ($9,000)

Last year’s race at Darlington Raceway was Derek Kraus’s best race of the year in 2020. Kraus started 13th on the day and raced his way to a second-place finish. As a 19-year-old in the series, Kraus has shown excellent potential while racing in the truck series and I believe is an excellent sleeper this week. Also, as a rookie, Kraus was able to improve his track position in 15 of 23 races, not bad for a rookie. So far in 2021 Kraus has one top 10 finish at the Daytona Road Course. Kraus is going to start this race in the 20th position and if he can race like he did last year he is in for a lot of DFS points this week.

Stewart Friesen ($8,800)

Coming into Darlington race weekend the driver of the number 52 Halmar Friesen Racing Toyota Stewart Friesen will have an advantage over most drivers due to his eighth-place finish last year at Darlington. Friesen is the highest starting driver that I have this week in my lineup, and he fits in with another driver later as my picks to win. Like I said earlier this week is about finding value at the end of the pack to start the race. Friesen has yet to find victory lane this year but does have one top five finish and two top 10 finishes. Friesen has not won since Phoenix in 2019, I think he puts in a good bid this week.

Below is a lineup that we believe can provide the best value for the LiftKits4Less.com 200 at Darlington Raceway on 05/07/2021 (DraftKings Values)

Driver #1Sheldon Creed $ 10,400
Driver #2Derek Kraus $ 9,000
Driver #3Stewart Friesen $ 8,800
Driver #4Jordan Anderson $ 8,000
Driver #5Timmy Hill $ 7,200
Driver #6Tanner Gray $ 6,600

Sheldon Creed ($10,400)

This pick is in the realm of a no-brainer to me. Sheldon Creed is likely to be the sure thing week in and week out this year. In last year’s race at Darlington, Creed was electric on the racetrack where he led 82 of 152 laps. It was unfortunate that he couldn’t bring home the win after leading the most laps. I bet that Creed wants to win it this time around after missing out last year. Creed will be out for blood. Creed is still looking for his first win of the year. So far in 2021 Creed has two top-five finishes and three top 10 finishes. I am sure that is not up to his standards as the reigning Truck Series Champion. I think this is a great race for Creed to get himself back into victory lane and clinch his spot in the playoffs. As a bonus, if Creed can win you will be in for 14-point differential points as he starts 15th

Timmy Hill ($7,200)

With my strategy revolving around picking drivers who are near the back this week, I am going to be digging deep and picking Timmy Hill. I like the position that Timmy Hill is in to start the LiftKits4Less.com 200. Starting 26th gives Hill a lot of point differential potential. In 2020 at Darlington Hill tied for his best finish of the year with a ninth-place finish. He finished ninth after starting 21st. Hill has been racing in the Xfinity Series and Cup Series quite frequently over the last few years. In the 2020 season, Hill had two top 10 finishes in the Truck Series, one top-five in the Xfinity Series, and two top 10 finishes in the Xfinity Series.

Tanner Gray ($6,600)

Returning for his second full time season Tanner Gray is driving the Number 15 Ford F-150 for David Gilliland Racing. In Tanners rookie season, he earned four top five finishes and eight top 10 finishes. Outside of his eight races where he finished top 10, he had an average finish of 16.1 in 2020. I really like Gray at his price point this week. His starting position of 11th is not of course the most appealing, as this is a guy you like to start from the back with his price point of $6,600.  However, Gray has put together five top 20 finishes this year and I think he adds another. Another thing to keep in mind is that Gray has moved up in 4 of 7 races this year.

Now go win your matchup and let us know how you did. Or if I picked every driver that will be in that lap 116 crash, I encourage you to let me hear it. Either way come find us on Twitter (@FantasyDFSX).
