As we head into Dover racing week, there is a lot of data to pick through as we build a winning lineup. This week we are going to focus on finding value by looking at previous top contenders at the racetrack. There are quite a few value drivers that you can insert into your lineup. Let’s now take a deep dive into who I think you can insert into your lineup for the Drydene 200 at Dover International Speedway.

Below is a lineup that we believe can provide the best value for the Drydene 200 at Dover International Speedway on 05/15/2021 (DraftKings Values)

Driver #1
Driver #2Daniel Hemric $ 9,400
Driver #3Michael Annett $ 8,700
Driver #4
Driver #5  $ 7,900
Driver #6Timmy Hill $ 4,600

Daniel Hemric ($9,400)

Driving the number 18 car for Joe Gibbs Racing has worked out really well for Daniel Hemric so far in 2021. Hemric enters this race in second place in points with his five top five finishes, seven top 10 finishes and 204 laps led. Although Hemric has not won yet this year, he has been amongst the best in the Xfinity Series. Hemric’s best performances of the year have come at the Daytona Road Course where he finished third, Miami where he finished third, Las Vegas where he was the runner up, and Martinsville where he added another third-place finish. Picking Hemric to be in the top five has been as good as a bet as any other this year. In the last three years at Dover Hemric has an average finish of 5.0 over three races. That is pretty good if you ask me. Hemric will start on the pole this week, which is not ideal, but the lineup I have put together has a lot of drivers who are near the middle to back of the pack and I am picking Hemric to lead a boat load of laps this week.

Michael Annett ($8,700)

The driver of the number 1 for JR Motorsports Michael Annett finished the 2020 season ninth in points and made the playoffs. Annett is one of the more seasoned veterans in the Xfinity Series with his 304 career starts. Annett has been able to secure four top 10 finishes so far this year. His latest coming last week at Darlington after starting 20th. In 2020, Annett was great at Dover where he had two top 10 finishes by coming in eighth and then seventh. In the last three years Annett has placed top 10 in three of four races at Dover, with his only race outside of the top 10 being a 15th place finish. Overall, pretty good for the veteran. He will start in 11th this week and I do not see why not, based on his recent history on the track that he cannot add another top 10 finish.

Timmy Hill ($4,600)

I have built a top-heavy lineup this week. Therefore, Timmy Hill comes in as my week’s value pick. I like the position that Timmy Hill is in to start the Drydene 200. Starting 22nd gives Hill a lot of point differential potential. Hill has been racing in the Xfinity Series and Cup Series quite frequently over the last few years. In the 2020 season, Hill had two top 10 finishes in the Truck Series, one top-five in the Xfinity Series, and two top 10 finishes in the Xfinity Series. In 2021, Hill has yet to finish in the top 10, but he has managed to lead four laps. Like I said earlier, this is a pure value pick to try and optimize the top of my lineup.

Below is a lineup that we believe can provide the best value for the Drydene 200 at Dover International Speedway on 05/15/2021 (DraftKings Values)

Driver #1Austin Cindric $ 10,400
Driver #2Daniel Hemric $ 9,400
Driver #3Michael Annett $ 8,700
Driver #4Jeb Burton $ 8,300
Driver #5Riley Herbst $ 7,900
Driver #6Timmy Hill $ 4,600

Austin Cindric ($10,400)

Now on to this year’s top driver, Austin Cindric. 2021 has been very friendly to Cindric so far where he has two wins, six top-five finishes, seven top 10 finishes, and has led 346 laps. All his statistics this year are Xfinity Series highs. His worst finish this year is 30th last week at Darlington, but he did crash, so we will forget about that one for now. At the end of the day there are not going to be many races this year where you can get Cindric for less than $10,000. Of course, this week he is a little more than that, but that is ok. Cindric will start this race in 16th, which means he has a ton of point differential potential coming into this race. Cindric is going to be moving up to the Cup Series next year, he has his sights set on loading up on Xfinity Series wins before he makes the jump. Cindric is the best driver with the best car, I say he wins this one and leads a ton of laps.

Jeb Burton ($8,300)

I mentioned earlier that I thought there was incredible value in this race, well here is one of the drivers who I think comes extremely cheap for how optimistic I am for their chances to race well this week. Jeb Burton has had an excellent start to the 2021 season where he has one win, four top-five finishes and six top 10 finishes. If you take out his 25th place finish at Atlanta and 20th place finish at Darlington, his only blunders, he has an average finish this year of 5.86. Now if you want to include every race, you also get a very nice number, of 9.56. Talk about a great start to the year. Burton will race at Dover for the third time in the last three years. In his last two races at Dover, Burton has one top 10 finish. Burton has really come into his own this year after finally becoming a full-time driver in the Xfinity Series. Burton is going to start this race in the 13th position which will give him plenty of opportunity to contend for another top-five finish.

Riley Herbst ($7,900)

Driving the number 98 for Stewart-Haas Racing in the 2021 Riley Herbst makes the transition from Joe Gibbs Racing this year. Herbst made the playoffs last year after racking up four top-five finishes and 17 top 10 finishes. Herbst also competes in the Camping World Truck Series on a part-time basis. In three previous races at Dover in the last three years, Herbst had two top 10 finishes. Herbst has raced well at the following tracks this year: Homestead-Miami, Phoenix, Atlanta, and Talladega. Herbst is in a good spot both by dollar value and with his starting position of 20th this week.

Now go win your matchup and let us know how you did. Or if I picked every driver that will be in that lap 41 crash, I encourage you to let me hear it. Either way come find us on Twitter (@FantasyDFSX).
