As we head into Charlotte Race week, we will have to look at drivers’ stats and history from other road courses as we build our lineup this week. Another great part about this weekend is we are back to practice and qualifying. This week we are going to focus on finding value by looking at previous top contenders at this speedway. There are quite a few value drivers that you can insert into your lineup. Let’s now take a deep dive into who I think you can insert into your lineup for the Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

Below is a lineup that we believe can provide the best value for the Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway on 05/30/2021 (DraftKings Values)

Driver #1Kyle Busch $ 10,200
Driver #2
Driver #3
Driver #4Aric Almirola $ 7,900
Driver #5
Driver #6Bubba Wallace $ 5,800

Below is a lineup that we believe can provide the best value for the Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway on 05/30/2021 (Fanduel Values)

Driver #1Kyle Busch $ 13,500
Driver #2
Driver #3
Driver #4Aric Almirola $ 7,500
Driver #5Bubba Wallace $ 7,000

Kyle Busch ($10,200 DK, $13,500 FD)

Kyle Busch has been in the elite level of drivers at Charlotte Motor Speedway. Yes, you could argue that the likes of Kevin Harvick, Martin Truex Jr or Denny Hamlin have been good also, but Busch is up there, and maybe the best. Busch has won at Charlotte Motor Speedway once, where he also has 14 top five finishes, 19 top 10 finishes and has led 1,449 laps. Among those categories Busch is first in top five finishes, tied for first in top 10 finishes and has the most laps led. I do not see why Kyle Busch cannot find his way into victory lane for the third time this year (yes, the first was exhibition) and for the second time at Kansas. Busch, I am sure to his standards is having another off year where he has two four five finishes and eight top 10 finishes. I think Busch has all it takes to turn his 20th place start into another first-place finish. Also adding that he has a lot of point differential potential if he can come away victorious.

Aric Almirola ($7,900 DK, $7,500 FD)

I have always thought that Aric Almirola is one of the unluckiest drivers in the series. If Almirola can avoid disaster and finish this race, he will be in a very good place DFS wise. Almirola has been consistent at Charlotte the last three years where he has an average finish of 14.75 and all have been top 20 finishes. His best being 10th at the speedway.  Almirola is going to start this race in the 31stposition which, if he can get into the top 20, will provide a lot of point differential points. You know he will be driving a fast Stewart Haas racing car for this race. No reason he cannot crack the top 10 this weekend. And if he does this is excellent value.

Bubba Wallace ($5,000 FD)

There is a lot of hype about the new 23XI team owned by Denny Hamlin and Michael Jordan and driven by Bubba Wallace. Earlier this year, Wallace was right in the mix on the last lap of the Daytona 500 before wrecking on the last lap. Wallace has not had the best season so far, but there have been some bright spots, like at Dover where he started 22nd and finished 11th, or how he has six top 20 finishes. Not awful for a new racing team, trying to figure stuff out in their first year.

Driver #1Kyle Busch $ 13,500
Driver #2Brad Keselowski $ 12,000
Driver #3Joey Logano $ 11,500
Driver #4Aric Almirola $ 7,500
Driver #5Bubba Wallace $ 5,000

Brad Keselowski ($9,700 DK, $12,000 FD)

Coming into the race as the reigning Coca-Cola 600 champion, Brad Keselowski is poised to add another win to his resume this year. Last year Keselowski started in the ninth spot and this year he will start 13th, similar starting spot, similar narrative here. In the last three years, Keselowski has raced at Charlotte four times where he has one win, two top five finishes, three top 10 finishes and 99 laps led. I am surprised that Keselowski is not worth more this week, with the resume he has at the speedway the last three years. Good for us I guess as we get a phenomenal driver at good value. Keselowski is also one of three active drivers with more then one win at the speedway as he has two. Kevin Harvick and Martin Truex Jr, both have three. I really like Keselowski this weekend, I think he is in for a top five or better performance.

Joey Logano ($8,800 DK, $11,500 FD)

Here is one of those drivers that you never really feel bad about having in your lineup each week. Joey Logano is going to race well, and he is going to race hard every time he hits the tracks. And of course, because of that he is often a very expensive driver to insert into your lineup. With saying that when you can get him into your lineup for only $8,800 on DraftKings, it’s almost a no-brainier choice. Logano is off to another usual season for him, so far, he has one win, six top five finishes, eight top 10 finishes, and had led 338 laps. All totals are well within what we expect from him. In his career Logano is averaging just under two wins a year, so you know he is going to be out racing for his second of the year this weekend. With his 27 career wins Logano has won at Charlotte in the past, where he also adds six top five finishes, 11 top 10 finishes and had led 331 laps in his career. Starting 16th this week, makes me think that Logano is going to be finishing this race with another top five finish. I think this is some of the best value all year for a driver.

Michael McDowell (5,800 DK)

How good of a season has Michael McDowell been having so far in 2021. I would say pretty good by anyone’s standards. After going winless in the first 13 seasons in the NASCAR Cup Series, McDowell added his first ever win at the Daytona 500 earlier this year. McDowell is also quietly putting together his best year yet in the Cup Series where he has the one win, two top five finishes, and five top 10 finishes. All career highs. Now McDowell has by no means been excellent at Charlotte Motor Speedway in the past, but he has really seemed to turn a new corner this year. Look at McDowell as a late start flier this week who could potentially get you a lot of point differential points. A pick like McDowell this week gives you the flexibility to get some bigger names into your lineup. Plus, as a bonus you can feel comfortable with a driver starting 24th. Where you can only, for the most part go up.

Now go win your matchup and let us know how you did. Or if I picked every driver that will be in that lap 112 crash, I encourage you to let me hear it. Either way come find us on Twitter (@FantasyDFSX).
