Coming into what is now the fifth race weekend of the year we head to sunny Phoenix Raceway. As the preemptive race to the final race this year, you can think of the first Phoenix race as a test for these teams before thy will race for the championship at the end of the year. Austin Cindric left Phoenix victorious last year in the championship race. Cindric set the pace for a majority of the afternoon. He pitted for tires just before the final overtime restart, and was able to work his way forward at the final green flag to get around Noah Gragson on the last lap. The top five for this race are Daniel HemricBrandon JonesAustin CindricAJ Allmendinger, and Justin Haley. All are good options this week if you can afford them.

Below is a lineup that we believe can provide the best value for the Call 811 Before You Dig 200 presented by Arizona 811 at Phoenix Raceway on 03/13/2021 (DraftKings Values)

Driver #1Brandon Jones $ 9,500
Driver #2  $ 9,200
Driver #3  $ 8,700
Driver #4Myatt Snider $ 8,200
Driver #5  $ 7,700
Driver #6JJ Yeley $ 6,700

Brandon Jones: This might be the fourth straight week that I have had Brandon Jones in my lineup. He is a great driver and victory has been within his grasp in each of the last four races. In six races in the last three years at Phoenix Raceway, Jones has one win, two top-five finishes, four top 10 finishes, and has led 27 laps. Jones has also been pretty good on intermediate one mile tracks as of late. At Dover Jones has a fourth, sixth, seventh, and tenth place finish over the last three years. Jones has finished third, third, and fourth in the last three weeks respectively. No reason Jones cannot win this week. He has almost tasted victory three weeks in a row, this could be the week.

Myatt Snider: After finishing 14th and 18th in last year’s races at Phoenix Raceway, Myatt Snider is looking to continue his great start to the year after finishing winning at Homestead-Miami two weeks ago. In 2020 Snider had two top-five finishes, six top 10 finishes, and led 32 laps. Snider is a driver that could make up some of the wins and top-five finishes that have moved up to the cup series this year. Driving this year with superior Richard Childress Racing equipment Snider should be a contender this weekend. Add the fact that he has a win and a seventh place finish this year.

JJ Yeley: This week’s sleeper pick of the week is JJ Yeley. Yeley spent the 2020 and most of the 2019 and 2018 season racing in the cup series. In his only race, so far in the 2021 season, Yeley started 39th and finished 13th. For us fantasy folks that’s plus 26 place differential points.  Yeley will start this weekend’s race in the 33rd position, if he can find the same success he had earlier this year and gain 26 places that accounts to a lot of point differential points.

Below is a lineup that we believe can provide the best value for the Call 811 Before You Dig 200 presented by Arizona 811 at Phoenix Raceway on 03/13/2021 (DraftKings Values)

Driver #1Brandon Jones $ 9,500
Driver #2Justin Haley $ 9,200
Driver #3Brett Moffitt $ 8,700
Driver #4Myatt Snider $ 8,200
Driver #5Jeb Burton $ 7,700
Driver #6JJ Yeley $ 6,700

Justin Haley: 2020 was by far Justin Haley’s best year yet. Haley has also had a really good start to the 2021 season. Haley finished 2020 with three wins, 10 top-five finishes, and 113 laps led. In the last three years at Phoenix Raceway, Haley has raced four times. In those four races, he has one top-five finish and three top 10 finishes and an average finish of eighth. Haley’s dominance at Superspeedways last year was extremely evident, whereas he was more mediocre on intermediate tracks. I think that changes this week after his seventh-place finish two weekends ago at Homestead-Miami and an eighth-place finish last weekend at Las Vegas. I am excited about having Haley in my lineup this week. Haley offers front-line win potential and comes at a rather decent price point.

Brett Moffitt: 2020 has been solid so far for Brett Moffitt. In 2021 Moffitt has secured a second-place finish at Daytona and a seventh-place finish at Homestead-Miami. Moffitt has joined Niece Motorsports for 2020 to drive the number 45 car. The pairing has been good so far. In last year’s two races at Phoenix, Moffitt finished 19th twice. In 2020 Moffitt finished with five top-five finishes. In the NASCAR Truck Series Moffitt has a two 10th place finishes and a win in the last three years at the racetrack. Starting 20th gives Moffitt a lot of room to move up the field.

Jeb Burton: Driving the number 10 Chevrolet Camaro for Kaulig Racing, Jeb Burton has been excellent this year. Burton finished fourth at Daytona, fifth on the Daytona Road Course, fifth at Homestead-Miami, and 10th last weekend at Las Vegas. This has been by far Burtons best year and I think he can keep it up for this weekend race at Phoenix. In 2020 Burton had three top-five finishes, six top 10 finishes, and led 54 laps in 11 races 2020. I think Burton continues his success this year and competes to win the Call 811 Before You Dig 200. With Burton starting 6th in this race I can see him staying right at the top all race.
