We have eleven games on the slate today for Jackie Robinson Day with the first pitch at 7:05 PM EST. Today’s slate of games is highlighted by Joey Votto and the Cincinnati Reds taking on Trea Turner and the Los Angeles Dodgers.
We have a chance of rain for San Francisco Giants at Cleveland Guardians, Tampa Bay Rays at Chicago White Sox, Detroit Tigers at Kansas City Royals, and Houston Astros at Seattle Mariners. So be mindful of using players in those games as you may need to swap them out late, and in particular, the Houston and Seattle game as it is a late game and your options for players to swap will be limited.

Freddy Peralta ($10,000) – Peralta is one of the better bets to get a high strikeout total today. It does come with the risk that he won’t go deep into the game, but he could be worth his high-cost today against the Cardinals.
Owen Miller ($2,000) – Miller has four straight multi-hit games with a two home run game yesterday. You’re going to get him at the minimum price today and he won’t be facing a top pitcher either.
Trea Turner ($5,700) – Turner is always a threat to give you either a home run or a steal, or both. Few players have the upside of Turner, and with the Dodgers facing the Reds at home all weekend, we could see some really nice performances from him.

The Pitchers
Tony Gonsolin ($8,400 DK) Gonsolin struck out 27 percent of the batters he faced last season in limited innings. If he can get to 5 innings today he shouldn’t have any issues getting to value or exceeding it today.
Dylan Cease ($9,700 DK) – Cease was fantastic in his first start going five innings, and striking out eight. He is getting the Rays at a good time who have scored three runs or less in three of their last four games.
Tarik Skubal ($8,200 DK) – Skubal will get a struggling Royals team today. I wouldn’t expect a high strikeout total today, but he should be able to go deep enough into the game to be able to get the win.
The Value Plays
Cody Bellinger ($2,800) – For all of Bellinger’s struggles during the spring, it looks like he has figured hitting back out in the first week. He has been walking 20 percent of the time, and he is stealing bases as well as hitting for some power.
Omar Narváez ($2,900) – Catchers can be tough to pick, but at his price Narváez is worth a look. He has three hits in his last two games with a home run, and he won’t see incredibly pitching from the Cardinals either.
Brandon Marsh ($3,400) – Marsh has had hits in four of his last five games for the Angels, and he is slowly moving up the Angels batting order which can only improve his ability to get to or exceed his value.
The Stacks
Los Angeles Angels – We just discussed the value of Marsh and you should be able to use his value and stack him with Mike Trout and Jared Walsh for a solid stack at the top of the Angels order.
Los Angeles Dodgers – The issue we will have with the Dodgers is making the salaries work in your budget. We discussed Trea Turner, and you should be able to get him in with Max Muncy and Will Smith to build a solid Dodgers stack.
Colorado Rockies – The Rockies can be tough to stack at home, but it doesn’t appear that DraftKings has inflicted the Coors Tax just yet. I would be using Kris Bryant with C.J. Cron and either Ryan McMahon or Brendan Rodgers to round out your stack.
