Congratulations to Sergio Garcia ($9,100 DK $10,200 FD) who returned to the winner’s circle last week at the Sanderson Farms Championship 269 (-19) 1st place, inspired by his family and Spanish homeland that has suffered from the worldwide Covid-19 pandemic, for his first win on Tour since the 2017 Masters.
This week at TPC Summerlin the course will play to a Par of 71 at 7,255 yards without much rough, and bent grass greens. Kevin Na ($8,600 DK $9,500 FD) is the 2019 defending champion 261 (-23), in a playoff over Patrick Cantlay
($10,400 DK $11,700 FD). For the (Shriners Hospitals for Children Open ) this week Bryson DeChambeau ($11,800 DK $12,200 FD) headlines both the DraftKings and FanDuel salary rank in his first start since his impressive U.S. Open victory at Winged Foot.
DFSExperts will provide two value picks in the B and C categories that will be competitive to make the cut and quite possibly to be a contender for the win. Then exclusively for DFSExperts members, Iwill make additional predictions and recommendations to build a roster of six with supporting statistical and trending analysis from each of the A, B, and C, categories. Last week at the Sanderson Farms Championship my B-List value picks were J.T. Poston 272 (-16) 3rd place, and Tom Hoge 279 (-9) T-28 place; and my C-List value picks were Bill Haas 281 (-7) T-35 place and Martin Laird 279 (-9) T-28 place.
There are severalquality picks that are very undervalued throughout the field, but especially in the B-List grouping that have stellar performance records, have played well recently on similar style golf courses and will emerge as players to watch to win, not just to make the cut. I have picked the winner in four of the last nine weeks and many of my C-List picks are placing in the top 10 to 20, including a win for Stewart Cink at the Safeway event. Beyond the obvious, pay attention to my free picks, combined with the more in-depth analysis exclusively for DFSExperts members and you could be cashing a three to six figure ticket. A-List DFS Picks at the Shriners Hospitals for Children Open: 2020
This week more of the top-rated PGA Tour players are joining in on the competitive 2020-’21 PGA Tour Season. This will allow you to build a winning and unique roster with players down the A-List, B-List and yes, even down into the C-List category. DFSExperts will add to the obvious statistical analysis, with deeper research and the eyeball test. These details and trends from the entire field are only possible to come from someone that is intimately familiar with competitive golf, that is willing to go beyond the numbers and reaches the depth and breadth of the competitor and person to be out in front of positive results.
I believe in the top 35 salary range at and above $7,500 DK, at or above $9,000 FD, Bryson DeChambeau ($11,800 DK $12,200 FD), Patrick Cantlay ($10,400 DK $11,700 FD), or Harris English ($9,700 DK $10,900 FD) are the most likely to find the victory circle this week based on a combination of their ball striking, recent form, short game skills, and-or course experience. Most of the top 15 are appropriately priced and should be competitive for a top 20 finish, however I do feel Webb Simpson ($11,000 DK $11,900 FD) is overpriced, and you will be disappointed when he finishes in 20th place at this price.
B-List DFS Picks at the Shriners Hospitals for Children Open: 2020
Stewart Cink ($7,200 DK $8,600 FD), and Brendon Steele ($7,200 DK $8,900 FD) are a great value at these prices, both make almost every cut, and have had top 10-20 finishes here at TPC Summerlin. A bigger risk to make the cut, but having the potential to win when firing on all cylinders this week are Kristoffer Ventura ($7,100 DK $8,800 FD). Even though Rory Sabbatini($7,000 DK $8,200 FD) has made cuts and played well recently, he has missed the cut in his last three appearances here and I would not pick him this week.
C-List DFS Picks at the Shriners Hospitals for Children Open: 2020
I believe Sam Ryder ($6,200 DK $7,600 FD) will rise this week as he has an 18th and 3rd place finishes here over the last two years and is an excellent value at this price. Justin Suh’s ($6,200 DK $7,200 FD) strong 14th place finish at the Sanderson Farms event, looks to be young and hungry with great form throughout his game, that passes the eyeball test of this former collegiate golf coach. Not sure if he is ready to win just yet, but he will win on the PGA Tour soon. I like his chances of having a top 20 finish again this week. No-go’s in the C-List category this week are the majority of the $6,000 DK players and $7,000 FD players with just a few exceptions. Too many cuts missed and poor recent form throughout this group.
While these are a few teasers for this week, more in depth analysis and justification for my recommended lineup plays, or don’t play this week, are exclusively available for members of DFSExperts.com. Send us any fodder for the “Wall of Fame” including screenshots. We will put them up on social and proclaim you the DFS champion of the world. Good luck, and Golf On!
