Congratulations to Hudson Swafford who was playing on an injury exemption and returned to the winner’s circle last week 270 (-18) for his second win on Tour at the Corales Puntacana Resort & Club Championship. With this victory he earns full exempt status for two years on the PGA Tour and many other benefits including entry into the four major championships and Tournament of Champions.

This week the Country Club of Jackson will play to a Par of 72 at 7,460 yards long and features Champion Bermudagrass greens, as well as Bermudagrass fairways and rough. Sebastian Munoz ($9,900 DK $10,900 FD) was the 2019 first time champion and is returning to defend his title. For the (2020-’21 Sanderson Farms Championship ) this week Scottie Scheffler ($11,400 DK $12,300 FD) headlines both the DraftKings and FanDuel salary rank after his impressive 2020 Rookie of the Year PGA Tour campaign. He is returning from a two-week Covid-19 quarantine with a non – symptomatic diagnosis that unfortunately knocked him out of the U.S. Open at Winged Foot.

This week’s free choices in the B-List are J.T. Poston ($7,500 DK $8,600 FD) who has well balanced strokes gained statistics over the last year and especially at this event last year, putts his best on bermuda greens, and tied for 11th place in 2019. The other B-List value is Tom Hoge ($6,900 DK $8,200 FD) who also has consistent strokes gained numbers, has putted his best on bermuda greens, and has had some experience and success here at (The Country Club of Jackson ) with a tie for 39th finish in 2019. In the C-List Bill Haas ($6,200 DK $7,000 FD) is a great value and I believe is under the radar with a 2018 14th place finish here and a solid 4.3 strokes gained. Another good value based on his familiarity and past success here is (Martin Laird $6,100 DK $7,100 FD) with a very impressive 2018 performance, 9.2 strokes gained on this golf course and a 7th place finish. There are several quality picks that are very undervalued throughout the field, but especially in the B-List grouping that have stellar performance records, have played well recently on similar style golf courses and will emerge as players to watch to win, not just to make the cut. I have picked the winner in four of the last eight weeks and many of my C-List picks are placing in the top 10 to 20, including a win for Stewart Cink at the Safeway event. Beyond the obvious, pay attention to my free picks, combined with the more in-depth analysis behind the Paywall and you could be cashing a three to six figure ticket. Come to the other side of the Paywall and be enlightened.

DFSExperts subscribers (starting at $5 per week) will see two value picks in the B and C categories that will be competitive to make the cut and quite possibly to be a contender for the win. Then, behind the Paywall DFSExperts will make predictions and recommendations to build a rosterof six with supporting statistical and trending analysis from each of the A, B, and C, categories.

A-List DFS Picks at the Sanderson Farms Championship: 2020

This week with many of the top-rated PGA Tour players still sitting out in the early going of the 2020-’21 PGA Tour Season, it will be important to pick a strong core of A-List players with value yet have the potential to win. This will allow you to build a winning roster with players higher up in the B-List and C-List categories to have a unique and winning team. DFSExperts will add to the obvious statistical analysis, with deeper research and the eyeball test. These details and trends from the entire field are only possible to come from someone that is intimately familiar with competitive golf, that is willing to go beyond the numbers and reaches the depth and breadth of the competitor and person to be out in front of positive results.

I believe in the top 35 salary range above $7,500 DK $9,000 FD, Sungjae Im ($10,500 DK $11,700 FD), Sam Burns ($9,800 DK $11,200 FD), or Adam Long ($9,500 DK $10,700 FD) are the most likely to find the victory circle this week based on a combination of their ball striking, recent form, short game skills, and-or course experience. I would not choose Scottie Scheffler ($11,400 DK $12,300 FD) at this price, as he has not competed for two weeks and has not putted his best on bermuda greens. While I do believe he will play well enough to make the cut, he will not win in his comeback from a Covid-19 quarantine.

B-List DFS Picks at the Sanderson Farms Championship: 2020

J.T. Poston ($7,500 DK $8,600 FD)Hudson Swafford ($7,300 DK $8,900 FD) and Bronson Burgoon ($6,600 DK $7,800 FD) are a great value at these prices, should make the cut, and have a top 10-20 finish. Not feeling Matt Jones ($7,200 DK $8,400 FD) for the money this week, as he has missed the cut in all three appearances here and his recent form has not been strong enough to overcome needing to have a top 20 finish to be part of a winning ticket.

C-List DFS Picks at the Sanderson Farms Championship: 2020

I believe Peter Malnati ($6,300 DK $7,600 FD), Bill Haas ($6,200 DK $7,000 FD), and William McGirt ($6,100 DK $7,000 FD) are all good choices to make the cut due to recent form, have competed here with some past success finishing in the top 10 to 20 on one or more appearances. All three of these competitors will be a good choice as your last pick allowing you to select more players in the A and B-List categories. Without this being a very deep field this week, I would not recommend selecting anyone in the $6,000 DK or with the exception of just a few players in the $7,000 FD range.

While these are a few teasers for this week, more in depth analysis and justification for my recommended lineup plays, or don’t play this week, are exclusively available for members of DFSExperts.com. Send us any fodder for the “Wall of Fame” including screenshots. We will put them up on social and proclaim you the DFS champion of the world. Good luck, and Golf On!
