This weekend could hold the key to the Tampa Bay Lightning raising the Stanley Cup over their heads in a crazy condensed and ultra-intense playoffs. There will be back to back games happening no matter who wins tonight. Will Steven Stamkos’ heroics give the Lightning the push they need to be home Sunday as Champions? Or will the Stars find a way to dig deep and push the beast back to play one more week?
We are going to double down on our free pick from last time and keep pushing Roope Hintz ($5,400 DK, $7,500 FD). If you took him you would have gotten an assist and a few shots on goal. We are still looking to see him put one in the net as that is his specialty. Keep him in.
Subscribers will get a killer goalie pick, a few guy who look ready to score some points and a super-value pick. Hockey is almost over. Time to get your wins in.
Captain DFS Pick For September 25, 2020
The big secret seems to be that the Tampa Bay Lightning are not entirely dependent on Steven Stamkos being on the ice to win games. At least not after the goal he scored two days ago. He will likely sit but will still be the catalyst for Tampa to finish it this weekend. Andrei Vasilevski ($15,900 DK) will take care of what little is likely to make it through to him. If you are on FanTrax then the next pick will be your captain.
Flex DFS Picks For September 25, 2020
It is easy to forget that Brayden Point ($9,000 DK, 14,000 FD) is only 24 years old and already has 300 NHL games under his belt. He leads the Lightning’s top line and never lets up. Even not at one hundred percent he is still elite and will be hard to stop this weekend.
Blake Coleman ($7,200 DK, $8,000 FD) had a quiet night on the fantasy stat sheet but was still doing some of the dirty work hitting the Stars. With Stamkos energizing the crew he is one of those players that will channel that energy well. He can be a grinder and he can be a scorer and we expect to see that latter tonight.
If the Stars are going to do damage it may well come from their blue line. Miro Heiskanen has not had his best series and is letting John Klingberg ($6,600 DK, $11,500 FD) shine as their top offensive defenseman. He continues to be involved in all aspects of the ice and is one of the backbones of the team right now.
Who else to help out Roope than Joel Kiviranta ($4,200 DK, $7,000 FD)? The Stars will not go quietly into the night and it still feels like it will be the depth that keeps them alive. Kiviranta has had a very small opportunity and he has seized it. He won’t let go this weekend.
Avoid DFS Picks For September 25, 2020
We are going with a duo here today. We are sticking with Stamkos probably being sidelined and are also unsure of how Miro Heiskanen is feeling right now. He will have to find another gear to help make the series even.
Hold onto your butts we have two days of the best hockey imaginable coming up for you. Don’t blink or you might miss it.
