DFS NHL Fantasy Hockey Picks For 9/9/20

The Dallas Stars were unable to replicate their success from the first game and were significantly outshout by the Vegas Golden Knights. We finally got a glimpse of Jake Oettinger the future goaltender of the Stars and he looked alright stopping all five shots he saw. This is going to be a tough series and we expect it will go to seven games by the time it is over.

As we look at the series in the eastern conference we keep liking Derick Brassard ($4,000 DK, $7,000 FD). He is a cheaper alternative to Jean-Gabriel Pageau and is usually the one to feed him an assist. He is at the top of his game now and it may not be much longer you can get that kind of value.

Behind the paywall we have a couple of other significant players that feed the monsters and come for pennies on the dollar. Get ahead of the curve and come find out who we are drooling over. Our “not to pick” player is a bit of a shocker!

Captain DFS Pick For 9/9/20

Brayden Point ($13,500 DK, $15,500 FD) is still worth every penny you pay him and more. He had five points in the last game and completely dominated the ice and our fantasy pool. He and Kucherov are on fire right now and are not going to be contained.

Flex DFS Picks For 9/9/20

We have to stick with these top two guys right now with the game they just had. Another five points as well for Nikita Kucherov ($11,000 DK, $15,000 FD) who had one of the sickest passes we have seen in recent years to set up the assist on his goal. These two know where the other wants to be and are attached at the hip when it comes to fantasy.

Now for the stack we were hinting at above the paywall. These juicy picks are the quiet guys on the top line that are still getting points. With the Islanders more people talk about Lee and Barzal while Jordan Eberle ($7,200 DK, $10,500 FD) continues his low-key impressive playoff run. He gets out there and does the work and supports the team on and off the ice. On top of that our free pick from the last matchup proved to be worth your while. Ondrej Palat ($7,600 DK, $9,500 FD) netted a goal and is set to continue benefiting from playing with Point and Kucherov.

If you need to swap someone out on FanDuel or have an extra spot in DraftKings then don’t pass on Devon Toews ($6,400 DK, $7,500 FD). He is the biggest obstacle to Ryan Pulock getting top power play time as Barry Trotz prefers to have Toews out there with his top guys. You can do a lot worse than him especially when he is getting shots and blocks to go with his points.

Avoid DFS Picks For 9/9/20

We purposely did not take Vasilevskiy last game as we did not expect him to see a lot of shots. He will certainly see more this time and we know the Islanders won’t be using exhaustion as an excuse. Spend on the big guns and get those goals and assists. The netminders have their work cut out for them.

There will be plenty more spicy takes in the coming days so stick with us as we dig into the stats for you and find the gold so you can rule your league.
