DFS NHL Fantasy Hockey Picks For 9/15/20

Josh Bailey on the Island

The Western Conference Finals are over and the Dallas Stars have punched their ticket to the Stanley Cup Finals. They wait to see who will prevail as the Tampa Bay Lightning only need one more game to advance. The New York Islanders are in a tight spot and will need to use every advantage they have to earn a chance to play again on Thursday. The Lightning may be without superstar Brayden Point so it is not impossible but it will be a tough mountain to climb.

From the Islanders our free pick today was a top ten overall pick in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft and is closing in on 500 points in his career. Josh Bailey ($6,600 DK, $8,500 FD) is one of those guys that fly under the radar but still produces consistently. He is on a line with Brock Nelson and Anothony Beauvillier who have been making bigger waves but they wouldn’t have done it without Josh. He already has three points in this series and we like their line a lot in this matchup.

Behind the paywall we have a big stack of players for you to put together. They will be feeding off each other and feeding you some big fantasy totals. Come see who we have hand picked to be the biggest difference makers in tonight’s contest.

Captain DFS Pick For 9/15/20

Here at Fantasy DFS Experts we love leaders. This will be one of the biggest tests in Anders Lee’s ($12,300 DK, $11,500 FD) career and we trust that he will rise to the occasion. In the absence of Brayden Point, Lee is going to be the guy who dominates the ice every shift and will be in charge of tilting the ice in the Islanders favor.

Flex DFS Picks For 9/15/20

It was slightly cheaper to put Lee as our captain and then we are grabbing Mat Barzal ($9,000 DK, $14,000 FD) next. His compete level continues to rise and he has been making play after play but with little to show for it. We feel like it has been a bit of bad puck luck more than anything and think he will light the lamp tonight. He is just too good to leave off our roster.

We are investing heavily in the Islanders top line tonight because if they plan to survive another game the winning has to come from the top. Jordan Eberle ($7,200 DK, $9,000 FD) is another first round draft pick that has been putting together an impressive career. He has all the tools to succeed tonight and we expect him, Lee and Barzal to put a ton of shots on Vasilevskiy.

Our last pair of picks which are going to be a coin toss depending on if you are playing on DraftKings or FanDuel are going to be from the NewYork Islander’s blueline. Both of these guys are seeing lots of power play time and are also going to be tasked with stopping as many of the shots the Lightning put them as possible. Ryan Pulock ($7,800 DK, $8,500 FD) and Devon Toews ($6,200 DK, $7,500 FD) both are worth owning with Toews being slightly cheaper depending on how your budget is looking.

Avoid DFS Picks For 9/15/20

If Brayden Point is in fact out then we are going to wait on taking Nikita Kucherov. He may still blow it up tonight but a big part of his success comes from working well with Point. If you hear last minute that Point is in, go ahead and take Kucherov if your budget allows it. We will be trying to make that determination ourselves come game time.

Have fun and get ready because the Stanley Cup Finals are almost upon us. The biggest prize in sports is up for grabs and we will be there along the way getting all the prizes in fantasy.
