The Tampa Bay Lightning have punched their ticket to the Eastern Conference Finals. Another multi overtime game and they sneak one past Halak to eliminate the Bruins. They wait to see the outcome between the New York Islanders and the Philadelphia Flyers. Tonight’s game may see the Flyers leave the bubble as the Canucks also fight to keep stay inside. He has seven points in the last ten games and sprinkles in a couple shots and blocks to go with it. If you want to bolster your team for cheap go grab him.
Goalie DFS Pick For 9/1/20
In our estimation no goalie is going to make it through tonight without some scars. In the interest of keeping hockey going and saving you a few bucks we are going for Jacob Markstrom ($7,300 DK, $7,300 FD). He is still elite and with the money we will be investing in his centers today go ahead and take him and look for the goal support coming from the next couple guys we have.
Center DFS Picks For 9/1/20
This stack is getting increasingly more dangerous and they have a lot of life left in their careers. Fifteen goals between them puts them at over one per game. Elias Pettersson ($7,100 DK, $7,400 FD) and Bo Horvat ($6,300 DK, $6,500 FD) are the real deal. They will be looking to put the team on their back and steal one more from the Knights. They may not make it to the next round but believe us when we say they will do everything they can to do so.
Winger DFS Picks For 9/1/20
Don’t worry we are not putting all our eggs in Vancouver’s basket. Our wingers today are going to be from the Islander’s left flank. The captain Anders Lee ($5,900 DK, $7,200 FD) just scores goals. He has six in his last ten with no assists to back that up. That is fine with us as those are where all the points are. He has done a fantastic job leading the team within reaching distance of the conference finals and will look to take the final step tonight.
Just behind him on the depth chart is Anthony Beauvillier ($5,100 DK, $6,300 FD). A former free sleeper from us he has now moved firmly into known territory and is always on our radar. We would certainly love it if he scored a little bit more but he and linemate Brock Nelson have been tearing it up. They are seeing more power play time as Trotz has been rolling more of two equal lines rather than a first and second unit. Between him and Lee you have a solid one two punch.
Defenseman DFS Picks For 9/1/20
Here we are singing Shea Theodore’s ($6,400 DK, $6,500 FD) praises again. We don’t talk a lot about advanced metrics here but his puck possession, zone entry, and others are off the chart. He is more likely to score you multiple points in a game than anything with nine in his last seven. The guy is a beast and has to be on your roster. Watch out Vancouver Theo is coming for you.
Avoid DFS Picks For 9/1/20
J.T. Miller had a huge game last time but overall has been pretty quiet. We are not totally sure why but he has become more boom or bust as of late and so we are holding off for now. It could be because of the rise of the other two Canucks we put up today but for now let him take a step aside as the other two work their magic.
