We come in today with both series tied at one a piece. The Canucks and Flyers came back with a vengeance after having taken one on the chin in their first games. All four teams are going to fight hard to try and get the edge moving towards game four. Who is going to come out on top and who is going to score you all the fantasy points? Stick around to find out about our expert picks.
If you are not a subscriber yet don’t worry you won’t miss out on everything. We have a juicy free pick for you today to get a taste of what’s ahead. For a consistent peripheral producer we are looking at the Golden Knights and Nate Schmidt ($4,600 DK, $4,400 FD). You might not hear his name as much as someone like Shea Theodore who gets top power play time but Vegas’ second line is still dangerous and he is quietly patrolling the blue line setting up rebound shots that players like Reilly Smith are all too happy to put in the net. Check him out.
Goalie DFS Pick For 8/27/20
All of the four starting goalies tonight have had a bad game in one of their last two starts. Minding the net is the hardest position to play and the hardest to pick from a fantasy standpoint. We are not going by gut on this one today but instead just looking at the numbers. Through all of the good and the bad Jacob Markstrom ($7,400 DK, $7,400 FD) has still looked to be the most consistent. We are not overly bothered by the one game and will look for him to be the last line of defense against a potent Knights offense.
Center DFS Picks For 8/27/20
Bo Horvat ($6,100 DK, $6,300 FD) just can’t seem to score assists but that is because he is scoring all the goals. He is a strong dude who sets up right in front of the net and collects on rebounds while harassing the goalie and defensemen in the area. He has more goals than Nathan MacKinnon and comes in at a nice discount. Lock him up and get ready to pair him with our next center pick.
We are going to stack Elias Pettersson ($6,800 DK, $7,300 FD) with Horvat today as their chemistry grows. They may center different lines but their effectiveness together on the power play is evident. Peterrsson is himself second to only MacKinnon in points and seems to overcome the bruising Vegas put on him and his teammates the game before.
Winger DFS Picks For 8/27/20
The Knights have upped their bully game and one of the biggest pests on the ice has been their top left winger Max Pacioretty ($7,000 DK, $7,800 FD). He has also scored a goal in his last three games and is on fire right now. Their power play is clicking right now and he is good at getting under opponents skin and drawing penalties to get the man advantage. Watch out for him he is dangerous all over the ice.
For a quick savings with a lot of potential we are sticking with the Canucks top power play. J.T. Miller ($5,800 DK, $6,400 FD) has not gotten the shot totals we are used to seeing but it is because he has been using his big frame to open up space and protect his teammates. We expect this game will be physical but he should be able to bring his offensive game back after Vancouver’s decisive win.
Our last winger today is none other than Anthony Beauvillier ($5,000 DK, $6,200 FD). He has as many goals as you-know-who on the Avalanche and just does not quit. This kind of threat is one we can’t pass up especially at a value like that. If Beauvillier is your third winger you are doing something right. We are excited for him right now but are more excited to see what he does over the next couple seasons.
Defenseman DFS Picks For 8/27/20
In terms of consistency it is hard to understate Alexander Edler’s ($5,400 DK, $4,500 FD) value. He has lost a significant amount of time in his career to injury but it is because he is totally willing to put his body on the line for the good of the team. His peripherals will help lift you to some winnings.
Avoid DFS Picks For 8/27/20
Matt Barzal has been very quiet for the last few games. Someone should tell him the playoffs are happening. Sure he has scored an assist in his last couple games but he isn’t taking many shots and is less likely to block them as well. The Islanders are relying on their depth right now and so are we.
We hope you are having a great week and are getting amped up for the weekend. We are looking forward to continuing the good times with you.
