There have certainly been some surprises through the first three weeks of the season at the wide receiver position. So, check out this week’s high-end picks, best values, and some buyer beware picks at wide receiver.
Davante Adams – ($7,900 DK, $8,100 FD) – Adams is not the most expensive this week, but he’s a close second. Adams’ volume and consistency makes him a very valuable DFS receiver almost every week. This week is no exception. Adams gets to welcome the horrible Steelers defense to town and looks ready to ravish them for a plethora of fantasy points. Historically, Adams has averaged 36.75 fantasy points per game and is 100 percent consistent when playing at home versus a bad defense. So, definitely get him into your lineup this week.
Cooper Kupp – BEWARE – ($7,800 DK, $8,600 FD) – How many of you guessed that Cooper Kupp would be the most expensive receiver heading into Week 4? Yeah, me neither! But here we are. There’s no question that Kupp has been an overachiever so far this year, but it can’t last all year. So, I’m going with this week with a little regression. I’m not saying you should bench him in your season-long leagues, I’m just saying he’s not worth paying up for this week. He’s only been 50 percent consistent historically in this week’s game scenario.

Best Value – WR – Chester Rogers – ($3,200 DK, $5,300 FD) / Nick Westbrook -Ikhine – ($3,300 DK, $5,100 FD) – If you don’t recognize either of these players, you’re not alone. However, this week, they may be the two starting receivers for the Tennessee Titans. It appears that both AJ Brown and Julio Jones may miss this week as the Titans travel to the Jets. While we know Derrick Henry will dominate, there will certainly be enough targets for one of these two or both to benefit from their low cost value here. Try to sneak at least one into your lineup.
Best Mid-Value – WR – Calvin Ridley – ($7,000 DK, $7,200 FD) – Yes, I know I have Calvin Ridley as a mid-value, but at $7,200 on FanDuel, that is mid-value! Ridley has been underachieving so far this season with the rest of the Falcons. However, this week is a perfect time to invest in Ridley as they take on the Washington Football Team. Washington is ranked 31st in giving up fantasy points to receivers. Ridley has averaged 25.10 fantasy points per game and is 100 percent consistent in those game scenarios. He’s an excellent value this week.
Tyler Lockett[BL1] – BEWARE – ($7,100 DK, $7,900 FD) – Mr. Inconsistent, Tyler Lockett, he had his two big games and then dropped off this past week. Now, he heads to San Francisco where his past game scenario is not very strong. He’s only 56 percent consistent and is averaging 12.077 fantasy points per game. Oh yeah, did I mention that Lockett is the fifth most expensive receiver on FanDuel. Yeah, I’ll pass.
