The bye week from hell is over and we have a few more choices for this week’s tight-end selections. So, let’s take a look at the tight ends. We have some high-end picks, best values, and some buyer beware picks.
Kyle Pitts – ($6,300 DK, $6,800 FD) – You have to laugh a little when there’s no Travis Kelce on the Sunday slate and the most expensive tight end (yes, Kyle Pitts) is less than $7k on both sites. Pitts has finally started to hit his stride since he’s been playing against some bad defenses lately. However, this week he gets the Panthers at home. They are ranked 15th in giving up fantasy points to tight ends. Pitts in 2021 has only averaged 8.05 fantasy points in the two games at home versus average defenses. So, I’m going to pass on his value this week and not pay up for him.
Rob Gronkowski – BEWARE – ($4,600 DK, $6,500 FD) – Once again, we have a huge discrepancy on a player between DK and FD. Gronk is the second most expensive tight end on Fan Duel at $1,900 higher than his eighth most expensive ranking on DraftKings. Either way, I’m going to let him play this week before I start investing in him for DFS on FanDuel. He’s not a terrible play on DK though. They are playing the Saints in New Orleans. The Saints rank seventh in giving up the fewest points to tight ends. Gronk has averaged 10.63 fantasy points and has been 75 percent consistent in these matchups. I’m good on DK, but I’ll pass on FD.

• You will see two players who we love but we are shading this week.
Best Value – TE – CJ Uzomah – ($3,700 DK, $5,700 FD) – Hopefully you listened to me last week about starting Uzomah. I hate to put him here again this week, but he’s still so cheap and this week they play the Jets. The Jets rank 26th in giving up fantasy points to tight ends. Uzomah in the two games versus bad defenses is averaging around 23.00 fantasy points per game and has been 100 percent consistent. He’s a real bargain again this week on DraftKings.
Best Mid-Value – TE – Hunter Henry – ($4,200 DK, $5,500 FD) – DraftKings really undervalues tight ends and Henry is another example of that. He’s been red-hot lately with four straight Clutch Games. This week he gets another great matchup as the Patriots travel to Los Angeles to play the Chargers. Wait a minute, is this a revenge game? YES! Plus, let’s throw in that the Chargers rank 31st in giving up fantasy points to tight ends. Henry playing on the road versus a bad defense is averaging 19.50 fantasy points per game and is 100 percent consistent. Make sure you get him in the lineup.
Overall, this week we are seeing some potentially huge values but a few people to stay away from that we normally give a full endorsement.
