Tight ends are tough values to identify in a normal week, but this week, we have to dig deep to find some. So, let’s take a look at the tight ends. We have some high-end picks, best values, and some buyer beware picks.
Travis Kelce – ($7,600 DK, $8,200 FD) – To no one’s surprise, Kelce is still the most expensive tight end. This week, he should be worth it as they play the Titans on the road. Kelce has averaged 20.86 fantasy points per game against a bad defense in the past and is 100 percent consistent. He may be worth paying up for this week if you can.
Darren Waller – BEWARE – ($6,700 DK, $6,800 FD) – Waller is one of the most expensive tight ends on both sites. However, last week, the Raiders used Kenyan Drake more in the short passing game and Waller got a “normal” amount of targets with five and only scored 10.9 fantasy points. That’s not terrible but it is based on his price tag. I would pass on Waller this week until we see if this trend with the new coaching staff continues.

• You will see two players who we love but we are shading this week.
Best Value – TE – CJ Uzomah – ($3,000 DK, $5,200 FD) – He’s just as cheap as Seals-Jones was last week and look how well that worked out! The Ravens take on the Bengals this week in an AFC North shoot-out. The Ravens rank DEAD LAST in the NFL in giving up fantasy points to the tight ends. Uzomah certainly isn’t real consistent in season-long fantasy, but he did have a big game the last time they played against a bad tight-end defense. It’s a wild card, but it could win a GPP contest.
Best Mid-Value – TE – Mike Gesicki – ($4,700 DK, $6,000 FD) – With all of the injuries to their wide receivers, Gesicki has been targeted like crazy. This is why his price tag keeps going up each week. This is going to be another big week as the Dolphins take on Atlanta. The Dolphins are an average defense against tight-ends, but Gesicki has averaged 17.6 fantasy points per game is 100 percent consistent in that game scenario. He’s a great cheap flex spot if you use Uzomah at tight end.
Overall, this week we are seeing some potentially huge values but a few people to stay away from that we normally give a full endorsement.
