Happy New Year everyone! Let’s take a look at the tight ends. We have some high-end picks, best values, and some buyer beware picks.
Mark Andrews – ($7,400 DK, $8,700 FD) – Andrews has passed Kelce and stays atop both sites as the most expensive tight end. He’s got a solid matchup this week versus the Rams at home. The Rams are ranked 12th in giving up fantasy points to tight ends this season. But no worry, Andrews has averaged 26.05 fantasy points per game and has been 100 percent consistent when playing at home versus an average defense. So, go right ahead and put him in this week.
Dawson Knox – BEWARE – ($5,500 DK, $6,200 FD) – Most of the top tight ends have great matchups this week, so we moved down to Knox. He’s at home versus the Falcons, but the Falcons are actually 13th in giving up fantasy points to tight ends this season. Knox has not done very well in those matchups by averaging 10.27 fantasy points per game and has only been 33 percent consistent. I’d look at other options this week.

Best Value – TE – Foster Moreau – ($3,800 DK, $5,200 FD) – Moreau has filled in well for Darren Waller in his absence over the past two weeks by averaging almost 12 fantasy points per game. The Raiders tackle the Colts on the road, but Indy is terrible against tight ends as they rank 30th in giving up fantasy points this year. He’s got excellent value this week.
Best Mid-Value – TE – Tyler Higbee – ($4,000 DK, $5,400 FD) – Higbee isn’t much more expensive than Moreau so if you have a few extra hundred dollars to play with, look at upgrading. Higbee plays on the road versus the Ravens who rank 29th in giving up fantasy points to tight ends so far this season. He’s definitely worth taking at look at this week.
Overall, this week we are seeing some potentially huge values but a few people to stay away from that we normally give a full endorsement.
