There are normally zero bargains at tight end, but this week we have a few! So, let’s take a look at the tight ends. We have some high-end picks, best values, and some buyer beware picks.
Travis Kelce – ($7,500 DK, $7,400 FD) – Kelce is back as the most expensive tight end again this week and this week he is certainly worth it. Kelce gets to host the Raiders this week and they rank 31st in giving up fantasy points to tight ends so fat this season. Of course, Kelce kills bad defense when playing at home as he averages 17.91 fantasy points per game and has been 100% consistent. Make sure he’s in your lineup.
Rob Gronkowski – BEWARE – ($6,000 DK, $7,000 FD) – Gronk is one of the more expensive options and while I love Gronk, this week is not a good week to start him in DFS. Gronk is playing at home vs the Bills who rank #2 in giving up the fewest points to tight ends so far this year. Gronk has struggled when playing at home versus a good defense by only averaging 5.70 fantasy points per game and only been 33 percent consistent in those games. I’m going to pass on him this week.

Best Value – TE – Jared Cook – ($3,200 DK, $5,100 FD) – There are two excellent values at the tight end position this week. One is Jared Cook who is playing the Giants. The Giants are 18th in giving up fantasy points to tight ends, but the real value here is that Keenan Allen and possibly Mike Williams could be out with COVID issues this weekend. That leaves many targets open for Cook to snag. He’s the real deal this week.
Best Mid-Value – TE – Evan Engram – ($3,500 DK, $5,300 FD) – Engram is almost as cheap as Cook, so they are both bargains this week. Engram is playing against Jared Cook and the Chargers and they rank 27th in giving up fantasy points to tight ends. Engram has averaged 10.92 fantasy points per game and has been 100 percent consistent in those matchups. Start both of these tight ends and spend your money elsewhere.
Overall, this week we are seeing some potentially huge values but a few people to stay away from that we normally give a full endorsement.
