Kelce is back as the most expensive tight end this week and thank goodness for that! Let’s take a look at the tight ends. We have some high-end picks, best values, and some buyer beware picks.
Travis Kelce – ($7,100 DK, $7,300 FD) – Kelce is still the most expensive tight end, but his price tag has finally become a little more realistic. He does have a great matchup this week versus the Cowboys who rank 19th in giving up fantasy points to tight ends. Kelce has done very well when playing at home versus an average defense by averaging 17.31 fantasy points per game and has been 92 percent consistent in those games. He’s going to be in my lineups.
Mark Andrews – BEWARE – ($6,000 DK, $7,000 FD) – Andrews is the second most expensive tight end on FanDuel this week, but I’m not sure he’s worth paying up for. He’s playing on the road versus a good defense. The Bears rank fifth in giving up the fewest fantasy points to tight ends so far this year. Andrews has only averaged 6.48 fantasy points per game and has only been 33 percent consistent in those games. I will not be investing in him this week.

Best Value – TE – Tyler Conklin – ($3,900 DK, $5,500 FD) – I normally don’t highlight the same person here in back-to-back weeks, but Conklin is still a bargain again this week. He has earned four straight Clutch Games and has a big game at home versus the Packers. He’s definitely worth taking as a great cheap tight end again this week.
Best Mid-Value – TE – T.J. Hockenson – ($5,700 DK, $5,900 FD) – Hockenson had a terrible week last week due to the tough Steelers defense, but this week he travels to Cleveland who has been giving up a ton of points to tight ends recently. The weather forecast in Cleveland is calling for an all-day rain which should lead to a shorter passing game and provide Hockenson with the double-digit targets he was used to in Weeks 6-8. I can easily see six catches for 60 yards and a touchdown this week. That’s 18 fantasy points and would make him a great value this week.
Overall, this week we are seeing some potentially huge values but a few people to stay away from that we normally give a full endorsement.
