The NFL is back this coming weekend and we are ready to win you some money in DFS this week and every week this season! So, let’s get started with the tight ends. We have some high-end picks, best values, and some buyer beware picks.

Travis Kelce – ($8,300 DK, $8,500 FD) – Yes, I realize that he’s the best and we’d all love to start him in DFS or season-long league every week. However, he is very expensive as compared to the remaining tight ends. He does very well against bad defenses (ranked bottom 10 in giving up the most fantasy points to a tight end). He actually does better on the road, but at home versus a bad defense, he’s averaging 16.83 fantasy points per game and is 100 percent consistent. Is he worth it? Probably, but I’d rather spend my money elsewhere.

T.J. Hockenson – BEWARE –  ($4,900 DK, $5,700 FD) – It’s tough to say beware to a good tight end who’s only $4,900 on DraftKings. Hockenson will get a look from most DFS players due to the price, but I’m saying look elsewhere. The Lions have a very tough match-up this week with the 49ers coming to town. The 49ers were ranked in the top 10 last season in the least fantasy points given up to tight ends. When you look at Hockenson’s numbers historically at home versus a good defense, you see only 8.65 fantasy points per game and 50 percent consistency. This is not what you want in DFS. Please stay away.

So What Do You Get If You Subscribe Now For $199 (year)?
• You get ALL-SPORT, ALL-ACCESS to every DFS piece of content that we publish for an entire year.
• You will see my best values that could be GPP gold.

• You will see two players who we love but we are shading this week. We will explain exactly why and hope they still love us next week.

Best Value – TE – Zach Ertz ($3,800 DK, $5,000 FD) – Pssst, guess what? Everyone has given up on Zach Ertz, except two very important people, Zach himself and the Eagles coaching staff. Ertz has been really looked good this preseason and he’s primed to let the world know he’s back! He’s is basically a steal on both sites, you stick him in your lineups this week and reap the benefits!

Best Value – TE –Austin Hooper ($4,000 DK, $5,100 FD) – I normally won’t have two best value tight ends, but I just couldn’t pass up listing Austin Hooper, playing on the road versus a Chiefs defense who is ranked near the bottom in giving up fantasy points to tight ends. Last season, Hooper averaged 10.55 fantasy points per game and was 75 percent consistent when playing on the road versus a bad defense. Start one of these two and load up on top running backs or wide receivers!

Overall, this week we are seeing some potentially huge values but a few people to stay away from that we normally give a full endorsement. Week One is going to be a little more tricky but with some careful consideration to these great values above,  you are going to be in great shape.
