Happy New Year to everyone! Let’s find out who are the winners and losers in DFS for Week 17!
Jonathan Taylor – ($9,000 DK, $10,000 FD) – Taylor is finally reaching CMC price tag of $10k on FanDuel. Let’s be honest, he deserves it and the MVP award, which the Colts are trying to get him. This week, he plays a juicy matchup versus the Raiders who rank 29th in giving up fantasy points to running backs this season. Taylor has averaged 23.02 fantasy points per game and has been 100 percent consistent in those matchups. He’s a given every week!
Alvin Kamara – BEWARE – ($7,900 DK, $9,200 FD) – Kamara is the second-most expensive back out there this week and this is not the week to invest in him. Kamara still has Taysom Hill at quarterbacks who steals all of his goal-line carries and they are playing the tough Panthers’ run defense. The Panthers rank sixth in giving up the fewest fantasy points to running backs this season. Kamara was terrible in Week 2 versus the Panthers when he only scored seven points and historically, he’s only averaged 12.25 fantasy points per game and is only 50 percent consistent when playing at home versus good defense. I’ll pass.

Best Value – RB – Ke’Shawn Vaughn – ($5,200 DK, $5,600 FD) – Just like the quarterback position we are looking for backups with value and Vaughn is that player. His real value is on FanDuel, but either way, Vaughn gets the Jets on the road. The Jets rank DEAD LAST in giving up fantasy points to running backs this year and have multiple times given up touchdowns to multiple opponent backs in the same game. This should happen again.
Best Mid-Value – RB – Devin Singletary – ($5,400 DK, $6,000 FD) – If you want to go double-cheap at running back this week, a combo of Vaughn and Singletary could be the ticket. Singletary gets the Falcons who rank 24th in giving up fantasy points to running backs and Singletary has averaged 16.2 fantasy points over the past two weeks. That’s a sweet combo for success!
Overall, this week we are seeing some potentially huge values but a few people to stay away from that we normally give a full endorsement.
