Happy Holidays everyone! Let’s find out who are the winners and losers in DFS for Week 16!
Dalvin Cook – ($8,300 DK, $8,800 FD) – Between COVID and other injuries, the running backs are slightly picked over, so that leaves Cook as one of the more expensive backs this week. He was placed on the COVID list but could clear by Monday Night’s game, so keep an eye on him. He has a decent matchup this week versus the Rams at home. The Rams rank 19th in giving up fantasy points to running backs so far this season. Cook has been solid in those game scenarios by averaging 18.70 fantasy points per game and has been 75 percent consistent in those games. Again, a solid pick, but not great.
Joe Mixon – BEWARE – ($6,900 DK, $7,500 FD) – Mixon has really cooled off as of late. This week he has another tough matchup versus the Ravens at home. The Ravens rank eighth in giving up the fewest fantasy points to running backs so far this season. Mixon has only averaged 14.87 fantasy points per game and has averaged 67 percent consistent in those games. That’s decent for season-long leagues but not great in DFS. I’ll pass.

Best Value – RB – Miles Sanders – ($5,600 DK, $6,400 FD) – Sanders has quietly averaged over 20 fantasy points per game over the past two weeks and has another great matchup at home versus the Giants. The Giants rank 25th in giving up fantasy points to running backs so far this season. I would certainly expect Sanders to continue his hot streak this week.
Best Mid-Value – RB – Cordarrelle Patterson – ($6,700 DK, $7,200 FD) – Patterson has certainly been a surprise this season. After a disappointing game last week, he looks like the matchup is in his favor this week as he plays the Lions at home. The Lions have been terrible versus running backs this year by ranking 29th in giving up fantasy points. Patterson has averaged 18.40 fantasy points per game and has been 100 percent consistent in those games so far this year. He’s an excellent value this week.
Overall, this week we are seeing some potentially huge values but a few people to stay away from that we normally give a full endorsement.
