DFS NFL Quarterback Picks for Week 7 – 2021

Mahomes and Brady
TAMPA, FL - NOVEMBER 29: Tom Brady (12) of the Buccaneers shakes hands with Patrick Mahomes (15) of the Chiefs after the regular season game between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on November 29, 2020 at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida. It’s the 2021 Bye Week Apocalypse! Six teams are off this week! All other bye weeks this year are four teams or less. No worries though as we have this week’s best picks at quarterback to help you win some cash for Week 7 and who to stay away from.

Patrick Mahomes – ($8,400 DK, $8,800 FD) – Mahomes stays at the top of the FanDuel list but is second on DraftKings to Kyler Murray (see below). Regardless, Mahomes does have a cake matchup this week versus the Titans. They currently rank 27th in giving up fantasy points to quarterbacks. Mahomes has always done well on the road versus bad defenses. He has averaged 30.84 fantasy points per game and is 100 percent consistent. He’s probably worth paying up for this week.

Kyler Murray – BEWARE – ($8,500 DK, $8,700 FD) –  This may seem like blasphemy, but it’s not. The Cardinals welcome the Texans to town. The Texans are ranked as an average defense (21st) in giving up fantasy points to quarterbacks. In addition, the Texans’ offense sucks! There’s no reason for Murray to put up 30 fantasy points this week to win this game. Oh yeah, and when Murray has played at home versus an average defense he’s only averaging 27.62 fantasy points per game and is 57% consistent. I’ll pass on Murray for this week.

Don’t miss out on the price cut! It’s now only $99 for the rest of the season!

Best Value QB – Matt Ryan – ($5,700 DK, $7,300 FD) – Ryan hasn’t been very consistent, but he has done well against bad defenses. In Week 4, he put up 29.02 fantasy points on Washington. This week, he travels to Miami. They are also ranked in the bad defense section. Ryan has always done well playing on the road versus a bad defense by averaging 27.23 fantasy points per game and is 78 percent consistent. He’s not dirt cheap, but there isn’t anything else really worth it.

Best Mid-Value QB – Matthew Stafford – ($7,100 DK, $8,100 FD) – It’s “revenge week” for Stafford and Goff as the Lions play the Rams this week in Los Angeles. So, you know it’s a great week to play Stafford. This year at home Stafford is averaging 27.87 fantasy points per game and is 100 percent consistent. I’m expecting another big game for Stafford this week. Don’t you miss it!

BEWARE – QB – Tom Brady – ($7,700 DK, $8,000 FD) – Brady will be traveling to the Windy City to take on the Bears. Now before you start yelling at me for putting Brady here, let me tell you that Rogers wouldn’t have earned a Clutch Game last week if he doesn’t run in that touchdown. He only had 195 yards passing. The Bears stink right now and Brady won’t need to light up the skies in this game to win either. So, pass on Brady this week and spend your money elsewhere.

Overall, this week we are seeing some potentially huge values but a few people to stay away from that we normally give a full endorsement.
