DFS NFL Quarterback Picks for Week 6 – 2021

Tyreek Hill DFS Pick
BALTIMORE, MD - SEPTEMBER 28: Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes (15) pitches the ball out to wide receiver Tyreek Hill (10) under pressure by Baltimore Ravens cornerback Marcus Peters (24)during the Kansas City Chiefs game versus the Baltimore Ravens on September 28, 2020 at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore, MD. Patrick Mahomes has been ‘struggling” as of late but he’s still the most expensive quarterback in the Sunday slates. Is he worth it? Check out this week’s best picks at quarterback to help you win some cash for Week 6 and who to stay away from.

Patrick Mahomes – ($8,300 DK, $9,000 FD) – Mahomes still has a hold on the top salary spot in both slates even though he hasn’t been putting “crazy good” numbers. That may change this week as the Chiefs travel to Washington, who ranks DEAD LAST in giving up fantasy points to quarterbacks. Needless to say, Mahomes destroys teams when playing away versus a bad defense. He’s averaging 29.93 fantasy points per game and is 100 percent consistent in those game scenarios. He’s worth paying up for this week.

Aaron Rodgers – BEWARE – ($7,200 DK, $7,700 FD) – Rodgers has been very consistent so far this season (80 percent), but he’s ranked 16th in total points. That won’t fly for DFS. This week, he’s the seventh most expensive quarterback and he’ll be traveling to Chicago to take on the Bears. The Bears are ranked eighth in giving up the fewest fantasy points to quarterbacks this year. Rodgers, historically only averages 14.62 fantasy points per game and is a putrid 22 percent consistent when playing away versus a good defense. I would definitely temper expectations this week and spend your quarterback money on someone else.

• You will see my under-$5,000 sleeper quarterback that could be GPP gold.

Best Value QB – Davis Mills – ($5,200 DK, $6,700 FD) – Every week the “value” quarterbacks are tough to find. This week, Davis Mills is a value on DraftKings, but not on FanDuel. Last week, Mills put up 300+ yards and three touchdowns on a tough Patriots defense. This week, he gets the Colts, who rank 30th in fantasy points given up to quarterbacks. It’s a flier but it will save a ton of cash for other players.

Best Mid-Value QB – Matthew Stafford – ($6,700 DK, $7,900 FD) – Stafford is one of the few 100% consistent quarterbacks this year. He’s an excellent mid-tier value this week as he will be playing against the Giants pass defense who ranks 26th in fantasy points given up by the quarterback. Stafford has averaged 25.15 fantasy points per game in that game scenario. I believe this is the best pick for this week.

BEWARE – QB – Dak Prescott – ($7,100 DK, $8,100 FD) – Prescott had a solid year so far. He is currently 10th in total points and has an 80 percent consistency rating. This week for DFS purposes, I’m going to pass as the Cowboys head to New England. The Patriots are ranked sixth in giving up the fewest points to the quarterbacks so far this season. When Dak plays away versus a good defense, he has averaged 15.49 fantasy points per game and is only 50 percent consistent. I would look for another choice.

Overall, this week we are seeing some potentially huge values but a few people to stay away from that we normally give a full endorsement.
