Happy Holidays this weekend to you and your family! So, let’s take a look at this week’s best picks at quarterback to help you win some cash for Week 16 and who to stay away from.
Patrick Mahomes – ($7,700 DK, $8,700 FD) – Mahomes is back as one of the most expensive quarterbacks this week. He has a nice matchup at home versus the Steelers who rank 11th in giving up the fewest fantasy points to quarterbacks this season. Mahomes has averaged 24.46 fantasy points per game and has been 86 percent consistent. I would start him this week if you can afford it.
Tom Brady – BEWARE – ($7,400 DK, $8,400 FD) – There are lots of issues for Brady this week. He’s missing Chris Godwin and probably Mike Evans at receiver. Plus, he’s playing the Panthers on the road who rank fourth in giving up the fewest points to quarterbacks so far this season. Brady has averaged a solid 25.43 fantasy points per game but has only been 67 percent consistent in those games. Based on his price, I’ll probably pass on him this week.

Best Value QB – Joe Burrow – ($5,500 DK, $7,100 FD) – Burrow has been solid all season but this game is a huge AFC North matchup that should be quite the shoot-out. The Bengals will be playing at home versus the Ravens who rank 27th in giving up fantasy points to quarterbacks. Burrow has done very well in this game scenario by averaging 32.75 fantasy points and has been 100 percent consistent in those games. He’s a favorite start this week.
Best Mid-Value QB – Matthew Stafford – ($6,700 DK, $7,900 FD) – Stafford has been the #1 quarterback so far this year in consistency at 79 percent. This week he has a great matchup versus the Vikings on the road. The Vikings rank 30th in giving up fantasy points to quarterbacks so far this year. Stafford has averaged 25.72 fantasy points per game and has been 100 percent consistent in those game scenarios. He’s another great value this week.
Overall, this week we are seeing some potentially huge values but a few people to stay away from that we normally give a full endorsement.
