Welcome back. Today’s slate has twelve games. The teams with the highest implied runs scored totals tonight are the Braves, Mets, and the White Sox, so keep them in mind when picking players. We will keep you abreast of the juiciest matchups and make sure you know who to keep your eye on.
Today’s free pick comes from the White Sox. Ronald Acuna Jr. ($4,800 on DK, $4,100 on FD). Acuna has hits in each of his last three games, and three home runs in his last two. He looks to be making up for the time he lost this season since coming off the injured list.
Pitching DFS Picks for September 5th, 2020
We are going to look to the Brewers for pitching. Brandon Woodruff ($8,700 on DK, $8,700 on FD) will face a Cleveland team that has scored just over 3 runs per game this week. Woodruff has struck out 15 batters in his last two starts, and this is a matchup he should be able to win today.
Our second pitching choice today is Justus Sheffield ($7,600 on DK, $8,100 on FD) also of the Mariners. Sheffield is facing a Rangers team that has scored just 14 runs in the last 5 days. Sheffield has struck out 15 batters in his last three starts, including a six-inning affair against the Rangers where he struck out six and gave up just one run.
Infield DFS Picks for September 5th, 2020
Corey Seager ($4,900 on DK, $3,800 on FD).The Dodgers shortstop has hits in each of his last seven games, and multi-hit games in four of those. The Dodgers are facing a Rockies team that continue to give up lots of runs, so look for Seager to stay hot today.
The other infield play today is Robinson Cano ($4,500 on DK, $3,400 on FD). The ageless wonder has hits in five of his last six games, including three home runs, and a couple of doubles. With the Mets again expected to score lots of runs today, getting some shares of Cano can really pay off.
Outfield DFS Picks for September 5th, 2020
Nelson Cruz ($5,800 on DK, $4,000 on FD) continues to destroy left-handed pitching(0.543 batting average, 0.943 SLG since August 1st). He will face a rookie today in Tarik Skubal of the Tigers, so look for another big day from Cruz.
Lourdes Gurriel Jr. ($4,400 on DK, $3,200 on FD) of the Blue Jays, has hits in five of his last six games, with three doubles and two home runs in that span, to go along with three multi-hit games. With Toronto taking on Boston tonight, who has given up 39 total run in their last six games, there should be lots of opportunity for Gurriel.
