Welcome back. Today’s slate has eleven games. The teams with the highest implied runs scored totals tonight are the Dodgers, Mets, and the White Sox, so keep them in mind when picking players. We will keep you abreast of the juiciest matchups and make sure you know who to keep your eye on.
Today’s free pick comes from the White Sox. Luis Robert ($4,900 on DK, $3,600 on FD). In the last five days, Robert is slugging 0.923 vs right-handed pitching. Robert is known to thrive off hitting fastballs, and he will face a two pitcher starter in Brady Singer tonight, so look for him to have another big game.
Pitching DFS Picks for September 4th, 2020
We are going to look to the Dodgers again for pitching. Carlos Carrasco ($9,300 on DK, $10,300 on FD) will face a Brewers team tonight that is striking out 27.5 percent of the time over the last week. On the season Carrasco has struck out 29 percent of the batters he is faced, and he is coming off of six shutout innings verse the Cardinals.
Our second pitching choice today is Dane Dunning ($5,800 on DK, $7,700 on FD) also of the White Sox. Dunning has struck out seven in each of his first two starts and is coming at a significant discount tonight. He will be facing the Royals tonight who are striking out a league-high 27.9 percent of the time. This is a discount worth taking.
Infield DFS Picks for September 4th, 2020
Dominic Smith ($4,400 on DK, $3,500 on FD) has hits in three of his last five games, and with the Mets expected to be among the highest-scoring teams tonight, getting the clean-up hitter in that order is never a bad idea.
The other infield play today is Garrett Hampson ($4,000 on DK, $2,800 on FD). The Rockies utility player is coming off two games where he has both multiple hits and home-runs. He isn’t terribly expensive on either site, so it’s worth paying his price to see if he keeps the streak going.
Outfield DFS Picks for September 4th, 2020
Michael Brantley ($3,400 on DK, $3,400 on FD) has hits in each of his last five games and has multi-hit performances in three of those games, which includes a pair of home runs. His ownership isn’t likely to be really high tonight with Dylan Bundy going for the Angels, so use that to your advantage. Wil Myers ($4,600 on DK, $3,400 on FD) is our last pick today. The Padres are going to be facing an Athletics team who hasn’t played in a week now. In particular, Myers has a batting average of 0.455 and an SLG of 0.727 against lefties in the last three weeks and will face a lefty tonight with the rookie, Jesus Luzardo going for the Athletics.
