We have thirteen games today with the first pitch at 7:05 PM EST. Today’s slate of games is highlighted by Brandon Woodruff and the Milwaukee Brewers, taking on Adam Wainwright and the St. Louis Cardinals in St.Louis. The highest implied run totals tonight sit with the Colorado Rockies (6.4), Boston Red Sox (6.0), and the Chicago White Sox (5.2).

The weather looks good across the board today otherwise, with less than a 20 percent chance of rain for the games today.

Here is a selection of today’s Core Players 50-50 MLB DFS lineup for 9/28/21 (using DraftKings Values)

 PitcherAdam Wainwright $9,000

 First BaseJonathan Schoop $4,400
 Second BaseTrea Turner $5,800
 Third BaseEugenio Suárez $4,100

Adam Wainwright – P ($9,000) – Wainwright has excelled at home all year with a 2.72 ERA at home, while his opponents have hit just 0.218 against him. The Brewers’ offence has been struggling, so expect a good start from Wainwright today.

Jonathan Schoop– 1B ($3,500) – In Schoop’s last three games he has a home run and a double, and he is on an eight-game hitting streak overall. It is a good matchup for Schoop playing in a hitter-friendly park today so look for him to keep his streak going.

Trea Turner– 2B  ($5,800) – Over the last four games Turner has really started to play well. He has three multi-hit games two doubles and three home runs for a Dodgers team that is trying to catch the Giants for first place in the NL West.

Eugenio Suárez – 3B  ($4,100) – Suarez has been a force all September and he doesn’t look to be slowing down. He has hit a double in three straight games, and he has two home runs in his last four games.

George Springer – OF ($4,900) Springer has home runs in back-to-back games, and he could be heating up right when the Blue Jays need him the most as they can move into a tie with the Yankees if they can win this series.

The Pitchers

Logan Webb ($8,900) Webb has had his struggles as of late, but you would have to imagine with this game at home for the Giants we should see a good game from him. He has an ERA of just 1.76 at home, and he will face an Arizona team that hasn’t hit well all season.

Chris Sale ($9,400) – Sale is yet to give up more than two runs in a start this year. He will face an Orioles team that does hit lefties well, but when Sale is at his best he can overpower a team like the Orioles, and he should get you enough strikeouts to still be a good value even if he does give up a couple of runs.

José Urquidy ($8,600) – Urquidy has given up two runs or less in three of his last four starts. The Rays are never an easy team to face, but with them having won the division I look for them to limit the playing time of many of their top hitters.

The Value Players

Harrison Bader – OF  ($3,000) – In Bader’s last four games he has three doubles, three home runs and two steals. The Cardinals still have something to play for tonight against the Brewers as they hope to eliminate the Reds and set up for the wild card game.

Trent Grisham- OF ($3,600) – Grisham has started to play better as of late. He has a steal, a home run and two doubles in his last four games. He will be in tough against the Dodgers today, but that should keep his ownership low.

Tyler Stephenson- C/1B ($3,800) – In Stephenson’s last start he had three hits, with a double and a home run. He is hitting in the middle of the Reds order that should be ready to go tonight as they need all the wins they can get if they are going to squeeze into the playoffs.

The Stacks

Boston Red Sox – The Red Sox are big favourites today against the Orioles. I would look to use Rafael Devers, Hunter Renfroe, and Bobby Dalbec to give you a well-rounded stack that could produce really well today.

Los Angeles Dodgers – We discussed Trea Turner, and I would be looking to add Corey Seager, and AJ Pollock as a stack as the Dodgers look to make a run at first place to end the season.

Colorado Rockies – With the Rockies at home, I am looking at C.J. Cron, Elias Diaz and Ryan McMahon as a nice stack that won’t see a lot of ownership in a game where the Rockies are expected to score lots of runs.
