OAKLAND, CA - SEPTEMBER 20: San Francisco Giants shortstop Brandon Crawford (35) celebrates with third base coach Ron Wotus (23) after hitting a grand slam in the sixth inning during the Major League Baseball game between the San Francisco Giants and Oakland Athletics on September 20, 2020 at RingCentral Coliseum in Oakland, CA. Welcome back. Today’s main slate has eight games. The teams with the highest implied runs scored totals tonight are the Cardinals, Braves, and the Cubs so keep them in mind when picking players. DraftKings and FanDuel are using different main slates tonight, so keep that in mind if you’re planning to play on both sites. We will keep you abreast of the juiciest matchups and make sure you know who to keep your eye on.

Today’s free pick comes from the Giants with Brandon Crawford ($4,000 on DK, $2,700 on FD). Crawford has been among the hottest players in baseball over the last five days. In that time frame, he has two multi-hit games, four doubles, and two home runs. With the Giants taking on the Rockies at home today, I would look for Crawford to keep his hot streak going.

Behind the paywall expect to find high value plays that are notably well priced on DraftKings and FanDuel. We have two pitchers, infielders and outfielders that we love for today’s main slate of games. And we’ve got more.

Pitching DFS Picks for September 21st, 2020

We are going to look at the Brewers for pitching. Brandon Woodruff ($8,700 on DK, N/A on FD). The Reds continue to struggle, striking out 28 percent of the time, and they have a team batting average just over 0.200 in the last five days. Woodruff hasn’t given up more than three runs in his last three starts, and this has the makings of what could be a nice outing for Woodruff.

Our second pitching choice today is Marco Gonzales ($7,000 on DK, $8,500 on FD) of the Mariners. While Gonzales isn’t your typical DFS ace, he is facing an Astros team that in the last three weeks versus left-handed pitching has a 0.165 batting average, and a 0.265 SLG percentage. In that span, the Astros have scored just 13 runs. Gonzales has given up two runs or less in two of his last three starts and struck out at least seven batters in all three games. Vegas has the Astros scoring more than 5 runs tonight, but I don’t’ see them coming off Gonzales.

Infield DFS Picks for September 21st, 2020

Paul Goldschmidt ($5,300 on DK, $3,600 on FD) has multi-hit games in two of his last four games, which includes a pair of doubles. With a relatively short slate, tonight and the Cardinals expected to score the most runs, getting their hottest hitter right now makes sense.

The other infield play today is Ke’Bryan Hayes ($3,600 on DK, $3,300 on FD) of the Pirates. Hayes has been among the best at hitting lefties over the last three weeks with a batting average of 0.462 and a 0.923 SLG percentage. Hayes has hits in six of his last seven games and has two doubles and a home run in his last five games. He will be facing Jon Lesterand his near 5 ERA, of the Cubs today so look for him to have another nice game.

Outfield DFS Picks for September 20th, 2020

Ryan Braun ($3,600 on DK, N/A on FD) seems to of really benefitted from the DH. In his last five games, he has hits in each game plus three multi-hit games, three home runs, and a double. He will be facing Luis Castillo of the Reds tonight which is a tough matchup, but don’t dismiss how hot Braun’s play has been in recent days.

Brandon Nimmo ($4,000 on DK, $3,300 on FD) not to be outdone by the previous Brandon’s has hits in each of his last six games, and multi-hit games in four of his last six outings. In his last five games specifically, he has two home runs, a double and a triple. He will be facing the Rays today who are set to use the bullpen for the entire game, so don’t be surprised if the Mets score lots of runs today.
