DFS MLB Baseball Picks for September 20th, 2020

Yankees No. 77
BUFFALO, NY - SEPTEMBER 09: New York Yankees Right Fielder Clint Frazier (77) hits and RBI single during the ninth inning of the Major League Baseball game between the New York Yankees and the Toronto Blue Jays on September 9, 2020, at Sahlen Field in Buffalo, NY.(Photo by Gregory Fisher/Icon Sportswire)

Welcome back. Today’s main slate has eight games. The teams with the highest implied runs scored totals tonight are the Astros, Yankees, and the Rays so keep them in mind when picking players. We will keep you abreast of the juiciest matchups and make sure you know who to keep your eye on.

Today’s free pick comes from the Yankees with Clint Frazier ($4,800 on DK, $3,800 on FD). The Yankees continue to score a lot of runs, and Frazier has been a big part of that this week. He has multi-hit games in three of his last five games, and home runs in three of his last five as well. The Yankees are expected to score nearly six runs tonight so look for Frazier to be part of the fun.

Behind the paywall expect to find high value plays that are notably well priced on DraftKings and FanDuel. We have two pitchers, infielders and outfielders that we love for today’s main slate of games. And we’ve got more.

Pitching DFS Picks for September 20th, 2020

We are going to look at the White Sox for pitching. Dylan Cease ($8,700 on DK, $7,500 on FD). Cease has struggled to go deep into games recently, but he also hasn’t been giving up a lot of runs. He will face a Reds team today who is striking out nearly 30 percent of the time over the last week and is hitting just 0.210 in that time frame as well. Look for Cease to have a nice day today.

Our second pitching choice today is Sandy Alcantara ($7,000 on DK, N/A on FD) of the Marlins. Many people are going to shy away from Alcantara today because Max Scherzer is starting against him. Try to avoid this trap, Alcantara has given up just one run in two of his last three starts, and the Nationals have a batting average of just 0.232 over the last five days. Alcantara is a prime GPP play, as he shouldn’t see high ownership.

Infield DFS Picks for September 20th, 2020

Jose Ramirez ($5,300 on DK, $3,900 on FD) won’t come cheap today, but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t have value. He is hitting 0.347 against left-handed pitching this year and is in the top three for SLG over the last three weeks against lefties. He will be facing Matthew Boyd of the Tigers today who has given up multiple home runs in two of his last three starts and struggles to go deep into games. Ramirez should be part of any Indians stack you make today.

The other infield play today is Brian Anderson ($4,600 on DK, N/A on FD) of the Marlins. Anderson is another sneaky Marlins play today. Anderson has back to back multi-hit games and has hit three home runs in those games as well. His ownership will be low today, but use that to your advantage as the Marlins have been scoring more than six runs per game in the last five days.

Outfield DFS Picks for September 20th, 2020

Hunter Renfroe ($3,800 on DK, $2,800 on FD) leads all batters in SLG against left-handed pitching in the last three weeks with a mark of 1.200, while putting up a batting average of 0.500. Renfroe has hit a home run in three of his last five games, and look for that trend to continue today against the Orioles who have given up four runs per game on average this week, and more than one home run per game as well.

Brett Gardner ($3,100 on DK, $2,700 on FD) continues to play well. He has hits in each of his last three games, two of those were multi-hit games. In those same three games, he hit a double and a home run. Garner is a nice low priced option to get you some exposure to the high-scoring Yankees today, or he can be a useful part of a Yankees stack to balance out some of their more expensive players today.
